The launch of Tanki Online 2.0 was postponed. So far, the release date is unknown.

The way updates are coming for this version. I don't think we will see 2.0 soon.

 

I don't think so. In my opinion, is coming soon. But this don't know how soon !!!!!! However, I think soon, because the time though materials (photos, videos, demos ...) on 2.0.

[For anyone who hasn't read this entire thread and just came in]

 

The most awesome news about Tanki 2.0?

 

That it will indeed use the new Flash feature of using your GRAPHICS CARD to accelerate the game!

 

Now your CPU won't have to struggle so much in running the entire game by itself! Those struggling with low framerates should see a boost.

 

There is mention of being able to adjust the graphical settings so that if things are still slow you can dial it down a bit.

 

It sure would be nice to see Tanki 2.0 by the end of this year... (I can always dream).

For those who have not seen the trailer for the new Tanki 2.0, here you can see it on action as well as a screen-shot of the new interface.

The whole thing looks promising although the new features will bump up the CPU requirements on our computers.

So may God have mercy on my poor Core2Duo T9300.. )

 

We’ve completely changed lighting system so now you can hide tanks in the shadow and fight on night arenas. We’ve also animated track layers, added camera shaking effect, modernized interface greatly and prepared a lot of other cool stuff. Entering social space we could not forget about socialization. User profiles, player’s reputation, achievements system and other social features will allow tankmen to communicate with each other more actively. In future the game will appear in My.Mail.Ru, Vkontakte and Facebook. It’ll be possible to play from any of these social networks and from tankionline.com website simultaneously. All users enter the same game space no matter where they come from.

 

What do you think about it ? :)

The trailer in the last post looks like the exact same models and levels were used but with new graphics accelerated game engine, which I am fine with, if it coms out really soon. New year perhaps? :)

 

But, what is all the fuss with new models in bad ass presentations? Is that 3.0? :D

they said that you will have to start over when you switch. but they will send you the crystal value of all your stuff, so that you can re-buy it choose to spend it differently.

 

i know i bought some things i wish i had not. so this is very good news for me.

when you say start over, does that mean rank as well? or only with upgrades and such? also whats with the red ruby or something like that?

Everyone keeps their rank [example: warrant officer will stay warrant officer and wont become a recruit], they get paid back in crystals for everything they bought (drugs will remain the same and will not yield crystals). Each rank earns a crystal reward, so those in higher ranks will immediately get the total rewards from all the ranks they made in the past.

 

The red ruby is to signify that you bought that 'crystal', while white crystals are those you pick up in the game or earn while fighting. Those white crystals will increase your score in the highscore list, but rubies will not increase your score [so that people cannot use money to become 1st place in the rankings].

 

The high score list with kill/death ratios and etc will be reset, so everyone gets to start off at the same time to compete for the top [if they even care about where they are on the rankings]. (so as you play Tanki 1.0 there is zero need to worry about your kill death ratio if that is something you plan to worry about in 2.0)
