but the version 2.0 of tanki not give for all computers?

Official messege:

Выше производительность движка, игра будет идти быстрее.

Google translates it as:

"Above performance engine, the game will go faster."

:) I am also jelaous seeing russian posts where they say their fps is normally ~30... I have an old box with dual core XEON 2.66, and my fps is about 4-12 even on small maps... Interesting if i had that fps as they had, would I be a general already?

4-12 FPS ??? WOW... how are you able to play the game at that rate ??? :) just wondering...

To me it would be absolutely impossible to even see my turret moving :D.

Now, really... an Intel XEON@2.66 should be pretty good for this. It is not a mainstream processor, it was designed for servers.

I suppose it has at least 2 real cores + 2 virtual ones...L3 cache should be at least 2MB..It should do just fine.. exactly how old is it ?

What SO are you running? (I hate to say it but it is true...overall, the Linux Flash 10 FFox plug-in really sucks :) ).

What Flash Player version are you using? What about the browser?

Looks like someone is pretty good at hardwares!

Yep, it is dual core on HP workstation xw6000 with XP. Playing in Google Chrome. Yet, fps 4-12 in Fort Nox 2. When all players are in (7/7), it is a real mess, like seeing breakdance show. I miss shoots 4 out of 10, especially when a Hornet m3 runs away with the flag.

I hope Tanki 2 won't be that slow...

Eh.. so you have E7505 chipset MOBO and the CPU seems to be an Intel Xeon (code name "Prestonia") with 512KB L2 cache.

Sad news but in my opinion that is a little too old for this. :)

I must tell you I have no problems on a Dell Vostro laptop with a Core2Duo T9300 @ 2.6GHz.

and we are talking mobile performance here which is usually beneath Desktop/Server comps performance.

But hey, look on the bright side...you have a reason to buy a new box or maybe a laptop :D

The truth is, I got 3 like that at home... I loved it... stable, reliable, trustworthy... But if you say so... I will start looking for something new then...

Btw, not sure if I got it right, hopefully someone from administration will correct me if I am wrong, in Tanki 2, there will be new gadgets you will be rewarded with upon getting certain achievements! It is still under discussion, but something like if you destroyed 200/500/1000 opponent tanks, your strike power (shoot damage) will be adjusted accordingly. That sounds exciting and ... scary! :?

Now let's get this straight :)

I am not saying you should go and buy a new one just like that..

I understand that you love your comp's because they are stable but it is also a matter of what exactly are you using them for to be that stable.

Some things demands a lot of resources while some can manage with less.

You should not take for granted everything one or other says..

You should do your own research about buying a new computer (budget it, the things you plan to use it for, brand/platform and so on) while taking in consideration the advices of others..

What I am trying to say is that only you are the one that knows what's best. I have just explained what i would have done if I were in your place...

Also, take in consideration the fact that Tanki 2.0 will be faster than the current version so...

fsdfsdf, no no. Nothing to worry about. I was just looking for an excuse to buy a new one! And you had given me that opportunity.

My desire is to be enjoying the game, but at this moment, I am not because of the low fps rate. Very often I see the string that enemy has taken the flag and just few few seconds later I see the script saying that the flag has been captured. I am just frustrated that game goes around passing by and I am not involved trully.

Sorry to everyone for off-topping, to get back to the track - it is possible now to change your nickname in the game - just for 5000 crystals. Let me know if anyone interested, I will find the link where you can arrange that from.

btw, fsdfsdf - when do you play? can we meet each other one day?

For those who have not seen the trailer for the new Tanki 2.0, here you can see it on action as well as a screen-shot of the new interface.

The whole thing looks promising although the new features will bump up the CPU requirements on our computers.

So may God have mercy on my poor Core2Duo T9300.. )

The trailer:

Do you know what program was used to record the video? am looking for a good program, bc hypercam makes the video lag when i play it back even tho i have one of the best codecs, and the maximun settings for speed and quality.
