for a programer it is as hard as for us installing nfs or any game

it means that in the end of march it will be just OPEN TESTING, not v2 .. damn ..

open testing means that its being balanced, but its basically the finished game. They're just still making sure there aren't any major glitches or anything

1.0 to 2.0 transfer

 

Old game will be working together with 2.0 version with no ability to register in old Tanki Online.

Nicknames will stay reserved to prevent nick hijacking. All players will be asked to transfer their account, along with transferring all the goods and upgrades back into crystals. So players will be able to decide what weapons and upgrades to buy again.

Crystals, consumables, score, ranks, referrals (if they managed to transfer also) and other data will stay the same.

In Tanki Online 2.0 players will be awarded with crystals when they get new ranks, so newly transferred players will get these “previous” amounts according to their current rank.

If some players will miss transfer period, we’ll help them after.

Game mechanics

 

New rank brings some crystals.

Bonuses and awards for achievements.

Some garage prices will be lower.

New guns will appear faster, but their modifications will be stretched along the rank line.

The gap between modifications’ characteristics will be shortened, and different guns with same modifications level will become closer in terms of damage.

Hall of fame rating will exclude real money, to be more realistic.

Additional score for tanks with consumables turned on.

After tests we’ll probably add consumables cool-down dependencies.

New gun – Shaft.

Graphics and sound

 

Lighting system.

Night maps.

Tank color will depend on lighting conditions.

Engine optimizations to make game run faster.

Non-rectangular level geometry, with remakes of popular maps.

More objects on maps.

Level of details for objects on distance.

User interface

 

Social networks integration (Vkontakte, MoiMir, Facebook, RenRen):

no need to create account;

single nickname for all the networks;

invitation of friends list and contact list forming;

achievements are visible to friends;

player profiles.

All the windows redesigned from scratch.

“Rubber” game window, from HD down to mobile screens.

Every game page has direct URL.

Re-built preloaders:

trustworthy loading bars with right percentage;

bid loads before menu and battle, other stuff loads on-the-fly;

own cache system.

Single chat for all the servers.

groups of contacts: friends, enemies, ignored, clan, administration;

adding contacts from social networks;

different nick colors for different groups, with offline players showing in dark color.

Single message can be sent to several people at once.

Friends-only mode.

Improved chat links system.

Context menu for any message: copy, report abuse, etc.

Context menu for any nickname:

check profile;

put as a target in chat;

private message;

add as a friend/enemy;

ignore;

go to battle with (if that person is playing).

Peoples’ moderation system.

Banned players indication.

Banned players see ban reason and time left instead of chat input line.

 

Player profile

 

Public player profile.

Name, gender, birthdate, country, city, picture, contacts (ICA, Skype, e-mail), links to profiles in social networks.

Reputation (karma).

Player statistics with graphics and comparing to viewer’s:

general: score, destroyed, lost, effectiveness, wealth, rating;

weapons: favorite gun, shootings/working time for every weapon, effectiveness, overall damage, healed points;

armor: favorite one, distance driven;

favorite paint;

how many times was 1st in battles;

times stayed until the end of the battle, by game types and maps also;

flags picked up from enemy base, flags delivered, flags returned, killed flag-carriers;

referrals amount.

All new data will be collected from zero, because we don’t save this in 1.0.

Goods divided on groups: guns, armors, paint, devices, consumables.

Paint try-on function, device demo videos.

Monthly and daily tokens with additional features (battles with limited weapons, more experience, bigger daily bonus).

An ability to buy without leaving the battle.

Common battle list for all servers.

Game remembers search settings.

“Waiting for the place in the battle” mode.

For those who have not seen the trailer for the new Tanki 2.0, here you can see it on action as well as a screen-shot of the new interface.

The whole thing looks promising although the new features will bump up the CPU requirements on our computers.

So may God have mercy on my poor Core2Duo T9300.. )

 

We’ve completely changed lighting system so now you can hide tanks in the shadow and fight on night arenas. We’ve also animated track layers, added camera shaking effect, modernized interface greatly and prepared a lot of other cool stuff. Entering social space we could not forget about socialization. User profiles, player’s reputation, achievements system and other social features will allow tankmen to communicate with each other more actively. In future the game will appear in My.Mail.Ru, Vkontakte and Facebook. It’ll be possible to play from any of these social networks and from tankionline.com website simultaneously. All users enter the same game space no matter where they come from.

i have one question do u need the same version of adobe reader to play 2.0 or it must be a higher version

adobe reader is for viewing PDF files :lol: i guess you are talking about adobe flash player :XD: the answer is: you allways need newest version of it to be sure that the game will allways work.
