For those who have not seen the trailer for the new Tanki 2.0, here you can see it on action as well as a screen-shot of the new interface.

The whole thing looks promising although the new features will bump up the CPU requirements on our computers.

So may God have mercy on my poor Core2Duo T9300.. )

 

We’ve completely changed lighting system so now you can hide tanks in the shadow and fight on night arenas. We’ve also animated track layers, added camera shaking effect, modernized interface greatly and prepared a lot of other cool stuff. Entering social space we could not forget about socialization. User profiles, player’s reputation, achievements system and other social features will allow tankmen to communicate with each other more actively. In future the game will appear in My.Mail.Ru, Vkontakte and Facebook. It’ll be possible to play from any of these social networks and from tankionline.com website simultaneously. All users enter the same game space no matter where they come from.

nah, they keep moving it back :P closed testing til the ned of december and open december at the end of january. we can only hope that they will finish in time for christmas and give it as a surprise :/

i guess tanki 2.0 won't be out before february, but thats ok. they should take their time and make it as perfect as possible. if it is out to soon we will have a lot of bugs and glitches.

Does tanki 2.0 had some problems suddenly? I first heard the open beta testing were said that they were starting in late november, later late december, and not january? O_o
