Why has TANKI allowed hackers to stay in this game?

 

The 'bans' by mods simply ban accounts owned by the hacker. That hacker has several stolen accounts, but ONE (or more) high-level 'key' account.

 

If TANKI was truly concerned about the fee-paying customers that it has, it would ban the above hacker KEY accounta.

 

How, people may ask? It's easy:

 

TANKI has I.P. addresses of all users, entering all games, on all servers.

TANKI is well aware of all 'hackers'.

TANKI allows these hackers to hack.

TANKI allows these hackers to steal money from it's honest customers.

TANKI knowingly allow hackers to steal from it's customers.

 

I have paid hundreds of pounds on TANKI.

 

When a hacker comes and steals crystals from a 2 hour game (where you have invested $20 worth of crystals in drugs), TANKI KNOWS what is happening.

Can you imagine that they can't have a 'check' that checks for a CTF game flag being taken (and then captured) twice within say 10 seconds - from the main flag position?

Of course they can. It's simple programming - IT IS SIMPLE.

 

Have TANKI placed this simple software check - of course not!

Why? Because idiots still play knowing that TANKI is stealing money from them!

Hey, this is Russia - where else is theft normal?

 

TANKI, sooner or later - you'll lose European members, then all you'll have is Russians stealing from Russians - not much money there TANKI.

 

How about applying theft BANs (permanent blocks to IP address accounts)?

 

TANKI - do this (rightfully) and you will become trusted, and raise your profits (honestly).

 

Just an idea TANKI - it's called honest business, and Europe applauds honest business.

I don't know about the racism in your post but I certainly do agree with your idea for Tanki to implement a check feature to determine if a player is hacking the flag or the speed hack!

totally agree... myself, gf, and my buddies play at my house together at times. does that mean we would all get banned, we dont use cheats on any game.

 

but heres a question for those that have IT background, if we are all playing and are on a wireless router or one hard lined and 3 on wireless, would it give us each a different IP or would it be the same for all of us.

 

also people you need to get video capturing software to catch the cheaters, screen shots in my opinion just dont seem to be enough proof to get a player banned. i see players get bans faster this way, just check out the complaints section of the forum.

First things first, Tanki is fighting againts hackers day in day out. Whenever cheats come out the devs start blocking them or at least finding a way to do so.

Whoever is interested can follow the updates to see the efforts put into this war against cheats.

- Added the ability to complain about a player in battle through a battle command.

Refined the anticheat system

Improved the anti-cheat system

- Added monitoring of the battle (spectator mode for moderators).

Due to these efforts there are lesser and lesser cheats that work on Tanki.

 

Concerning the IP blocking suggestion, we can not do that because of a number of reasons namely:

Some providers in some countries do not offer fixed IPs, they keep on changing meaning that we can keep banning changing IPs forever.

In some countries, providers offer the same IP to everyone. Meaning that by banning one cheater, we are banning a whole city or state.

And lastly but not the least, families play Tanki together. If one of the family members is a cheater, it doesn't mean we have to punish the whole family.

 

We are doing the best we can. The situation is not as bad as it was now that the devs are fight a winning battle. Allow me to say that the battle against cheats is not over that is why from time to time we will meet them in battle.

Lets all co-operate in the fight to keep Tanki clean.

Well that vote system should be spread...I think 40% of community only know for that...put tips everywhere,hire translators so everyone understands it...3 languages is just not enough...one more tip:

I would have to agree with the two ideas that the originally poster said.

 

Is tanki missing a trick with the IP block. Firstly, more information about the computer you use is transmitted over the internet. I've seen many examples of this. So tanki can block the IP address and the computer ID. Secondly, if a family use tanki, then each player should think ethically about he's/her family members. If they continue to cheat without thinking of the people closest to them, it's only their own fault and have no one to blame apart from themselves.

That doesnt make sense, if a family member hacks, and doesnt worry about the other people in his family, why should they all be banned? its not the rest of the familys fault that they are hacking, and that they dont care about the others, it doesnt matter what the person who is hacking thinks.

Yes, we all know about the hackers, but mods, admins, programmers, everyone is doing their best to prevent hacks

and keep people's accounts safe.

 

If you would pay attention to the updates, the work, almost everything they did was revolving around preventing 3rd party software.

 

As others have already stated, if there were IP bans on a shared computer, then EVERYONE on that IP would get banned.

 

So just shut up and quit criticizing the people who are trying their hardest to keep this game safe
