I think achievements should be added. Like a certain amount of kills without dieing, Sniping achievements, and so on. A player should have a small profile page, and on this page you can view his achievements, and maybe a small bio he has posted. And maybe some achievements will have small crystal rewards.

For example;

5 kills without dieing = (some cool title) prize = 15 coins

10 kills without dieing = (a new cool title) prize = 50 coins

25 kills = (title) prize = 100 coins.

50 kills = last title prize = 200 coins.

 

by coins i mean gems. and achievements/prizes only can be achieved once.

 

Just an idea.

 

i asked for it a while back :)

yes in a few month the best comes : when you go level up you get extra coins !!

 

i bet with you when you go zo warrant officer 4 you get 10 crystals or so ...

xD

I was playing Halo 2 a few days ago, and thought: what if there were trains on Subway, so if you were on the tracks when a train comes... you get nailed haha...

 

also, we really need a HUD or minimap... at least a reticle for aiming

How about being able to sell unwanted upgraded item???

This will be possible in 2.0, but for not the same price. I remember that te date of release is the 4th of june.

I have an idea. What about an extension kit for tanks that adds a fourth upgrade? The tanks would be faster, have more

health and look slightly different? Of course it would only be for M3 tanks. Here's the list. Please say if you lie it.

 

Wasp M3 + kit= 100hp, 8 speed, and gains a machine gun, used by pressing the N key. The machine gun would affect Hornets and Wasps. ( in real life, machine guns can knock out light tanks like the Russian PT-76 or the American Sheridan)

 

Hunter M3 + kit = 130 Hp, 7 speed, and a machine gun.

 

Titan M3+ kit= 200 hp, 5.5 speed, and looks different. Has armour over it's tracks like an M3 hunter has. Has a double missle boxon each side, which each missle does the same damage as an M3 thunder shot and the same explosion and sound effect. 4 missle per life. Fired with the N key.

 

M3 Dictator and kit= 160 hp, 9 speed, 2 machne guns, the front has more armour plates.

 

M3 hornet and kit= 150 Hp, 15 speed, 1 machine gun.

 

M3 Viking and kit= 200 Hp, 11 speed, 1 missile box.

 

M3 Mammoth and kit= 400Hp, 7 speed, no extra weapons. Looks the exact same, so you don't know if it's got the kit.

Tanki really needs a friends list. Even if its just a static textbox where you can list friends and enemies, it would be a good start. Ideally, you could use the friend system on the "Battles" screen to find what battles your friends are in, but that would take a bit more work. Yes, I'm aware that clans are coming in 2.0, this is separate from that idea.

Friend list will be available in 2.0 version.

yes, probably. But make sure there are bans for peeps who complain that their reputation is unfairly low.

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to have a map editor for Tanki? For example, let’s say you have an awesome idea for a map, and you want to submit it to the developers for inclusion in the game. You pay 1000 crystals (in the same way as a no-supplies pass; the cost is to prevent the devs from being flooded with new maps), and you get 24 hours access to the map editor to build your map. You can place and rotate objects, adjust terrain, set spawn points, etc. Once you click “Finish”, the map editor will ask you if you are SURE you are done with your map. Once this happens, the map will be generated and sent to the dev team, and your map editor access will end. The devs will then play your map, maybe make some tweaks, and if they like it they will release it publicly. If your map is chosen, you’ll get 250 or so crystals and an exclusive “map builder” paint job.

 

Also, it would be nice if there was a way for experienced Photoshop users such as myself to submit textures for paint jobs, new map objects, billboard “ads”, and the like.

:lol: you all want crystals for youre ideas. isnt the knowledge you contributed to somethin enough? anyway i believe their is a map editor although i dont know how you wold go about getting to use it.

 

now for my suuggestion and its one i hope will be in 2.0. dunno if been talked about before, the ability to slighlty raise/lower the firing angle of you're turret. i know the weapons projectiles already raise and lower somewhat automatically but its not enough sometimes. it would be awesome if onto of it atomatically doing it we could slightly adjust it ourselves.

I noticed that once some player is banned (often for spam/flood, but sometimes it is for other reason), his entire chat is removed from the chatbox. While in case of spammers it may be useful (less trash to see), there are cases where is is not so useful (messages from other people compacts and you sometimes need to find again old conversations) or even harmful (if you were talking with the person and later that person got banned for something unrelated to your talk, then removing the chat will )

 

I suggest there should be some button to prevent that, some checkbox in settings "[ ] Do not delete chat from banned people" - what is written in the chatbox stays in the chatbox, so if someone is banned, then you can select not to remove their chat.

 

There is slight disadvantage that some spam may be left (the spam could perhaps be in somewhat dimmer color, so you can distinguish it easily), but large advantage that in case the banned person actually said something useful (in addition to whatever he said to get a ban), the text remain there.

Depends what the text is. If it is offensive in any way, we will remove all of the messages and we will always be removing flood, spam etc.

If you cant read faster than we could type, then it isn't our problem. :P (No offense to slow readers) :wink:

 

Although we try not to remove the messages after "every" ban, but we have to for most of them. :roll:

 

PS, Just for your information, a moderator's messages cannot be removed, so don't think that a mod will offend someone, then remove his own messages. :cry:

1: Well, at least a paint job. Or our callsign appearing on the map somewhere, or even just a listing somewhere on the site or in the credits, as long as there is some way it would let OTHER people know we contributed. :wink: Hmm...I wonder if koolwalky could tell me how to access...I've built levels for homebrew video games (using a game creation program), so I know I could code some pretty awesome stuff.

 

2: Agreed. It's rather obnoxious, esp. with "sniping" weapons like the smoky and railgun and "melee" weapons like freeze and firebird (disclaimer: I only have personal experience with smoky and firebird, the others come from discussions with other tanki players).

 

3: How about a new game mode, "Emperor". The first player to join becomes Emperor and has a permanent boost of all drugs. (He's also the only one who can pick up crystal crates.) The other players all try to be the one to kill the Emperor; the player who kills the Emperor earns double points for the kill and becomes emperor him/herself. This goes on until time runs out or one player gets a certain number of kills as Emperor. Of course, the other players can kill each other to rob the Emperor of kills and to have a better shot (pun intended) of killing and becoming the Emperor. What do you think?
