I came out with some ideas and suggestions for our Community, hope some will be looked at.

(I played for about 6 years at Massive Online Game, and I think I know what players want and what can help a Community to expand)

 

FORUM:

• Add an "Ideas&Suggestion" section to avoid suggestions and such topics lay down in General, making more organized all the Dev and Mod work.

• Add something more to the profile, like possibility to add "Clan, Nationality, etc.."

GAME:

• Add a little map (enable/disable ability) to see your game area.

• Add some "Achievements" to receive XP and Crystals ( obviously amount of those will be low since those Achivements will be easy-to-do).

• Re-add something like the "Hall of Fame", just something looking like it, where we can see something called "Power Level" that will be obtained like the rating, something like (TankKilled/Death)*Rating=Power Level..

 

Dunno somethings on this line, I've more ideas but I already saw that they were suggested somewhere else.

DENIED. This kind of forum doesn't actually support the complete profile options as the ability to have an avatar or a signature.

Then isn't possible to create a separate application or storage site where players can look up the stats? The only way the site and Tanki would be linked is by just sending data to the site. Just like how banners work. The tanks and weapons get updated every Server Update, correct me if I'm wrong. And in this situation the stats would be updated every Server Update. :wink:

That's not a part of the forum... I agree, the forum gets cluttered with ideas, there should be a designated section for that.

TANKIONLINE.COM is known in more National Languages like English,Chinese,German,russion.

 

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CZ Language because my rriends are fans of your game so whay at the hell dont you make it in czech.

Yeah, this can be done.. I'm a Server/Forum Administrator and I know that stats from the server are stored in a database and that a simple PHP page or an HTML page running alone can show this sort of things.

Simply you will code the page to read infos from the database only when required to and you will see only the specified infos (Dev can define which will be shown and which not). You can add in the MainPage a link to the "Hall Of Fame", you'll be re-directed to a page where you will be able to see a list with "Power Level" of players. This page will update every 24 hours, to avoid crashes or such, you can update it when the server is restarting, since server will be offline and reduce the time of loading infos since players are not playing.

I saw the FeedBack site, but the point is that separated from the TankiOnline main site and most of the players don't even know about it. At least place a Link in the MainPage no?

Yeah, re-reading what I suggested, and thinking that I'm a camper too, this idea look a bit useless or dangerous for some style of playing.

Still a good idea.

Nice that you like it :D If Dev like it too, I can create and think of various kind of things.

Yes, the PHP Forum would have more options, but about the signatures - there is already an extreme level of flood. :lol: There were signaures before, but they removed them because they were causing flood.

About the avatars - if everybody has an ability to upload his avatar - then?First, the Forum will start looking like a Christmas tree.

And second, most of the players will choose a Staff avatar, and then it will be impossible to say who is a mod, and who is not...

You can add in the MainPage a link to the "Hall Of Fame", you'll be re-directed to a page where you will be able to see a list with "Power Level" of players. This page will update every 24 hours, to avoid crashes or such, you can update it when the server is restarting, since server will be offline and reduce the time of loading infos since players are not playing.

I think that right now they have to think about the big game improvements that are coming soon, as the new mode and the new graphic. Probably the time for this will found later.

No it will not. There is a rule preventing it, as putting an avatar that is for staff members is equal to say that you are a staff member, that will end with at least a week ban from the chat, as it brokes the rules 1.2

1.2. - falsely claiming to be a member of the game's support staff or any project help groups (administrators, moderators, consultants), either former or current;

REPLY: I thought that too, I hope that after game update there will be also a forum update. I mean, just to add something more to the Community, since except for the Server Chat or the Battle Chat players can't discuss anywhere else except the forum, and making a nice forum can add more players :D

REPLY: Again, I know all those things, but new players don't. A Link in the MainPage is easier to use than #feedback in chat since not all players know this fast way.

REPLY: Mmm, this bugs me :shock: btw, as I said before, forum can be changed in time, after game updates, since forum is a second-side of the Community. I'd say update the game then the forum.

Of course.But even the bans don't stop some players.

Anyway, I think that if this was a good idea, the Devs would have done it.

As said, I (and many others) like the Forum with avatars only for the Staff.

Maybe the Devs can make a vote though...

Or if someone stays a ghost for more than one minute, and captures a flag being a ghost, they kicked. Or if someone travels (speed hack) a certain distance faster than an M3 Hornet with double speed can, they get kicked.

This has been implemented in 1.99.0.. If you played any battle those days, if a player take the flag and jump off the map, right after the flag is left alone the flag return immediatly at his base.

This happen also with hacker. The flag hack simply create a map similar to the original but moved 5 blocks down or designed differently.

The hacker will play in this "alternative" map and move below your tank, but if it goes too much down from the floor (let's say level 0, and the hacker ghoes to -5 level) theorically the anti-cheat will re-take the flag..

I was told so, and this happened some time, but I'm not sure if it still this way.

 

Btw, the Avatar thing.. Yeah, I agree with what you all said, but then what we can add to the forum? I like it as it is, but just adding something, maybe colours, would be funnier..

Yeah, true. But let's say something.

Tanki servers are the battle areas and the forum are the lobby where Generals decide actions to do, so they should have colours, coffee, girls to make soldiers happy, then other nice things :D
