Why is skill not rewarded in this game?

A hunter should not be able to survive a full round from an m1 freeze. Said hunter should then not be able to take a flag, run past several other tanks, and score the flag while being pounded by attacks. Yet, that is what a WO1 just did in an average Iran CTF battle. How, you ask? D-R-U-G-S

 

No amount of skill can beat a player that is using all 4 drugs at once. No amount. Period.

 

That means that this game, that somehow 13 million people have played, is a game of drugs, and not a game of skill. It's so infuriating when you know you should be beating someone, but then *POP*, there go the drugs, and that's going to determine the game.

 

PLEASE FIX THIS TANKI!

 

Because right now, I have determined this game, a game that COULD be soooo awesome, sucks.

....aaaand u need to pay 50 crystals which is a joke...am just givin' ideas...and no supplies battles are not that popular...

 

The moment they become free we start seeing non-serious players in no supplies. 500 Crystals per month is not that bad considering that the battle fund in a simple hour long game of no supplies will easily pass the 500 mark. If you are able to play 1 game every single day, you will have more than 500 crystals at the end.

You know, there are some battles that are called

 

NO SUPPLIES BATTLES

 

 

Right for the players that want "serious" games.

 

What's the use of no supply battles if

 

NOBODY USES THEM

 

Perhaps you should promote them more? Or give perks to people who use them? Or create separate servers just for no supply battles? Or make entrance a flat rate charge (I agree that you can't make them free)?

 

But the point is, right now no supply battles definitely do not solve the problem.

And also, if you want really to test your skills, do a high rank no supply sandbox, just with dictator rail and no paints. And there you can test your skills ;)

I think you admins are too high leveled to see the problem. Sure, there might be some no supply battles at high ranks, but at lower ranks there are practically none, and if you do happen to find one, it's never filled. This means that all the battles have the potential to be ruined by some drugger hotshot.

Would be awesome if drugger would get less crystals for every drug he used...that would make them use drugs in most importand moments...no 1 crystals per one drug but 0.2 or something like that :D

 

This is a good idea (in my opinion). Why is something like this not implemented?

One of the enemy team start drugging. This is what you can do:

1 - Get scared and leave.

2 - Start drugging yourself.

3 - Stay in the battle without drugging.

 

So,

1 - Be scared

2 - Face him

3 - Be dominated

 

It's your own choice.

 

And you will always face this problem if you play supplies games.

 

And, if there are people that hate drugs, there are people that love them. Drugs dominate, this is the game.

Even if I rarely meet druggers with my low account.

I love how many people complain that nobody plays in no supply battles. What's funny is that if these people got together, there would be more than enough people for such a battle. But anyway. Druggers are hard to take down, but not impossible. It's always good to sneak up on them from behind, with freeze more so. As they start turning (slowed down due to freeze), circle them on the other side. Even if you don't take them out, or run out of energy, a full blast from M1 freeze can't be too good for any hunter, even a drugging one.

2 - Unless you're a buyer, run out of drugs, lose, no crystals.

3 - Be dominated, no crystals.

 

So you're right, we do have options. But no options that reward skill, and no options that give crystals when crystals are due.

Otherwise; suck it up... crying doesn't clear up things.

So you admit there's a problem, but you don't seem to realize that to every problem there's a solution. Finding that solution is why I started this thread, tough guy.

He makes a point there are no supplies battles going on. There is probably one every few weeks that i've seen which definitely doesn't make the pass worth it. Every time i've got a no supplies pass in my daily gift, it's gone to waste because i can't find a battle to play in. I'm only a a WO1 at the moment.

At high ranks its worth it... Learn to save drugs... At first i was annoyed that i had to pay 500 crystals for a month but it is totally worth it.

Learn to drug.. and learn to save drugs...

NS battles r there for a reason... play in them... if there arent any MAKE ONE...

You are a Warrant Officer 3, You're transitioning from Tier 1 to Tier 2, Also from casual gamers to hardcore gamers.

 

It is never hard to earn crystals if you do it wisely, Silence is filled with druggers so avoid it, Deathmatches are the best way to earn crystals, Focus on upgrading a single weapon instead of buying all of them. etc.

The moment you reach the top ranks, AKA, The moment you are done with the transition stage where people still use Tier 1 weapons you can enter the No Supply games. Ranking up is not hard after the last rework of the scoring system. You get the same points for killing a recruit or a marshal so playing with lower ranked players than yourself won't give you a disadvantage.

However, you seem to be saying that the game only gets nice at high ranks. Doesn't this seem like a bad strategy for Tanki Online in general? Perhaps it's why only a fraction of the people who have joined the game ever get to higher ranks, or even WO3 like me.

Not true, you can beat noobs on drugs without too many problems, I once played a sandbox against some drugger noobs, my team didn't drug and we finished them off every time and we captured flags. So if you have enough skill and a pretty good team behind you, you shouldn't worry too much, and it's good practice!

Not true, you can beat noobs on drugs without too many problems, I once played a sandbox against some drugger noobs, my team didn't drug and we finished them off every time and we captured flags. So if you have enough skill and a pretty good team behind you, you shouldn't worry too much, and it's good practice!

 

Paxorf has his point, you said it all in your comment "drugger noobs". You can defeat a noob team, but for sure you can't defeat an average team(not pro, just average) drugging if you don't drug back. And if the both teams are more or less equally, only 1 guy drugging can unbalance the game. So don't lie and say that with your terrifics skills defeated once a drugger team.

That's not a viable solution, it's impossible to find any no supply battles at lower ranks.

Druggers aren't unstoppable. I just witnessed that as my stockpile of drugs dwindled last game. With enough teamwork, you can stop any drugger. Also mines are very effective, they can kill a drugger, so mining a base is wortwhile. This means that the rest of your team can focus on attacking and offense, while you and 2 other people can mine the complete base and repel any incoming druggers. Most druggers will soon give up when they realize thier attacks aren't coming through and they keep failing. After a couple of tries they will leave the battle to spend thier drugs in a battle they can win.

 

Conclusion: To stop druggers, mine the base. Any entrances to your base should be covered by mines. Remember that once you mine the base if you die, say bye-bye to your mines, so be careful and hide from enemies you cannot take down.
