Idea for a game-mode! "Take the hill"

I got this idea for a game mode where basicly one team are defending and one team are attacking.

It could be on all sorts of maps...

 

Maybe a city in ruins, where the defending team gets to move to defensive hidden positions and then another team drive into the city... or a big hill where one team is on different places on the hill and defends it!

 

The teams should perhaps have a different amound of players in them, and another thing... if driving on a slope, the camera should get auromaticly angled with the angle of the slope so both tanks driving down and up the hill can see good.

 

I got 2 ideas for an attack/defense gameplay:

 

Normal with kills and such, how it usually is in Tanki. The attackers need to reach a certain place to win (the HQ), and on the way there it could be smaller positions and the defensive team wont spawn at that place anymore once reached by attackers.

 

The other idea is that the attacking team has an endless amount of tanks while the defenders can only die a limited amount of deaths and need to survive until a timer has run out. The attacking team wins of the defenders used up all their lives or the attackers took over a HQ.

 

People should also be able to edit it alot... why not make an ENORMOUS enemy team and a small gang of railguns and medic-tanks to defend? Would be alot of fun!

 

 

Hmm... maybe others can fill in with their ideas?

 

I really really think this kind of gamemode with be really awesome. It would bring in different ways to play to the game. And in real tankbattles, like during WWII, often did some tanks took up well-placed hidden positions while the enemys attacked... not that Tanki tries to be realistic though but the tactics can be!

Reminds me of 'assault mode' from the game unreal tournament, I always liked that mode, just don't know if it is possible for tanki online.

And like Beerme said, there's a new mode on the way, so I doubt they will be working on another new mode anytime soon.

Yes I realised checkpoints is too used in games. Besides, I just let my thoughts float on... nothing of what I wrote as ideas is to be taken as the exact idea of what I would like to see... I wanted game developers and people who are used to think up game suggestions to think about it and see if theres anything they would like about it or anything that could be done, and ofc fit into what they want Tanki to be.

 

Dont sound so pessimistic, Dihos...

 

 

Btw how nice with a new game-mode!

At the current speed of development tanki, your idea could take something between 3-5 years to be implemented (assuming they want to do it). Funny, but way far from reality of tanki right now.
