1.100 is on its way but what would you like see in the following update?

1.100 is offering a complete revamp on 3d models (skybox, tanks, map, drugs, projectiles, and even the garage). While testing, I also noticed how when you reenter the game you were just in, it loads hella quick which you have to admit is pretty awesome for those who like to change wep/tank/paint mid-battle. I also think distance fog was implemented so being sneaky sneaky far in the distnace maybe a tad easier. And of course the new game mode, control points (CP).

 

But aside from that, the tanki community will want more, especially what was promised in what was supposed to be 2.0. So tanki community, I am curious... what would YOU like to see in the next major update? (and anti-hacking/bugs doesnt count)

 

Some ideas:

 

The 2.0 main menu was pretty slick from the 2.0 demo vids. It had private/group chat, there was a clan page and even a clan fund, user profiles, friends list, ability to change wep/tank/paint mid-battle without actually leaving, and probably a few other things I cannot think of or did not even notice. Having that would really change how the tanki community can function within the game and being able to organize clan function WITHIN the game would be very useful. Especially if the clan page featured some type of event announcer.

 

VOICE CHAT!!!! :D (with hopefully easy access mute for specific players cause we all know how irritating 8 years olds get with their constant complaints and shrill voice)

 

Achievement system. I want an accolade for having 100+ DL :)

 

Old model option: Some people do not care for the new models of the tank, perhaps that could be an option to revert back to the older models?

 

New tank? New weapon? New paints?

 

More game modes: king of the hill, survival (one life, multiple rounds before fund is distributed), wep/tank pickup (everyone starts out with m0 wasp/ m0 smokey and they have to pickup upgrades/new weaps and tanks around the map), etc.

a sell option would be nice. if u regret buyin a wep or an upgrade. sell it. but not for 100% of its value maybe 50% or 75% since it would be a used item. because if there was 100% refund everyone would sell an item to buy a gun and tank M3 then sell both again to use a different combo

I think we should take it one step at a time. And I think that in-game profiles would be the next step towards that. Let's have profiles before we go for friends lists, voice chat, clans, etc. They all are great things, but profiles should be first. The only problem is that they will take up a heck of a lotta space, and unless Tanki have a lot more memory than they once had it's going to be the Hall of Fame all over again.

 

An achievement system might be able to be implemented before profiles, although some part of me suspects Tanki will be going for profiles before achievements. I'm not sure though.

 

Old models is a must, if they have enough space to accommodate it. I am guessing that Tanki are trying to get everyone used to the new models, and then bring in the old models again after people have warmed to the new models. This would ensure that the new models are actually played.

 

New tanks and weapons: The weapon rebalancing will have to be first before we think about new guns and tanks. As for new paints, well I guess we could have them.

 

As for game modes, I would like to see new game-modes. All of the ones you suggest, however, would not tickle my fancy.

I wanted to see what people really want to see in the future of tanki not have some 8 year old stuck on his high horse rant about how 1.100 threads are everywhere. Dont like my threads? I would like to see a bigger explosion for Thunder; as I can barely see the difference between this and a smoky shot.

Something else: remove some of the grey parts; that means that they could edit the hulls a bit to get more out of the paints overall look.

and the shaft should have a bit more orange/red spots and a bit less grey.

 

an option where you can disable/enable the fog feature; I've been wondering if shafts have more advantage by this... as you can't see people from distance without a sniper scope.

It limits the gameplay a bit for thunder and railgun... I had trouble finding the enemy, I didn't experienced it in the previous version.

There's no hurry for this, I understand that tanki wants you to get more familiar with the new graphics so that it will still be played if they can choose between the updates.

though I still hope some of this will return in the future update.

Oh no! Now we have a quick change reason as to why someone wants a discussion closed because that someone needs to prove their lack of maturity! I am not even giving any suggestions myself so its pretty much a grey area. And even then, no cares if this is put into general or off topic. If that sets off your OCD then I am sorry, but I wont alter everything I do for those with special needs. Again, all I wanted is to see where other people wanted to have tanki go in the future. Not have some whining kid think up of some pitiful excuses just to increase his post count. So say what you want for here on out, but just know... the world wants you to GROW UP and if you truly get worked up from every little tiny fault you find in the world, then why donʻt you move somewhere else, say the moon where you can twiddle your fingers all by yourself.
