Still haven't check the control point mode, but the graphics are just plain ugly and what is most important - misleading. The tank now looks more like some Nike Air Max model than the tank itself. Furthermore, I can't differentiate the weapons from the body, and paints are also much harder to see, so I don't know clearly the strength of my enemy. And I can't even differentiate the friends from foes! It's impossible to fight this way.

 

The strength of weapons' impact is diminished and also misleading, so when m3 thunder hits me, it feels like I've been hit with a m1 smoky and I don't have a clear feeling that my tank has been seriously damaged.

 

If you're firing with thunder, the target is much harder to even be seen against the background, and the bonuses (drops) are nearly invisible, being all pail and murky versions of themselves, and falling against the grass. I tried freeze next, and I don't even see that the target is frozen and/or trapped.

 

The only thing I like is the caterpillar!

 

 

Overall, maybe this new graphic stuff should be saved for some future update, when the illustrators can come up with more useful graphic pattern. This one is just underdeveloped, and seriously damage the feel, usage and likeness of the battle. The best solution would be for user to chose himself whether he'd like to use graphic style 1 (the old one) or 2 (this one).tanki should be mad

Don't even bother, if you don't have rico or at least freez - this was made mainly in benefit for freez. Must be lots of rico lover in development crew, since last upgrade favorize rico over all. Buying shaft ater thic crap they made is nonsense. WITH THIS UPGRADE RICO BECAME ULTIMATE WEAPON... and long after that - nothing.

 

@developers and game owners - GIVE US BACK OLDER VERSION. MAJORITI DOESN'T LIKE THIS NEW CRAP YOU'VE GIVEN US. THIS GAME IS GREAT EXAMPLE HOW SOMEONE CAN RUIN GOOD GAME!

I have the lag too, it's annoying, i didn't played this week end because i wasn't able to, BUt the opinion of other people don't interrest me, i CAN like the new graphic and you can say what you want.

The pics you've seen were part from the plans for 2.0.But 2.0 was cancelled.

 

tanki team cant even manage to get their "2.0" out.

Skill of game programing and design is not on their side.

I would just like to say something. It has been my experience, that most of the people who play games like this, never write in the forums, or for that matter, even check them. It seems a little silly for people to come out and say things like, "most people hate the new graphics." How do you know? So a few hundred people don't like them, that just means that the rest of us do.

 

It's been stated by the mods here that Tanki will not return to the old graphics. It may take a little time to familiarize yourself to the new look, but it took me the same amount of time when I first started, so no biggy there. In time, you will get used to it.

 

I for one would really love to see some more paints for the tanks. Maybe Tanki could hold a competition. There are some very talented people out there.
