Hard to believe that so many people are voting down the update. But then again, most of the people who are in the forums are here to rage about the new graphics so the votes are really a true representation i think ^^ The new graphics are much better because now the tank models are no longer static (minus the turret, but that really isnt part of the tank model). One thing I wanted to note though is that the old paint and color schemes no longer flow with the m3 tanks as much anymore. I think the old paints either need reword or perhaps having the m3 tank models display more paint rather then the grey plating cause that is what I think is "killing" the paint.

This is the first battle I played since the update, and its one of the best battles I have ever played on tanki.

 

Its a genius update.

I think the graphics in the game are very impressive. The cartoon style works very well and think about it. Other games try to look as realistic as possible, tankionline always was more fun, fantasy, imagination and well.. more cartoonish.

 

Some maps are awesome now. Try Kungur Summer - the trees and houses and even the concrete wall look great. The mist is also very nice.

 

The tanks perhaps look a little less convincing but the moving tracks are great.

 

One wish though, re-style the crystals so they look more like they used to. Now they are dull, ugly, almost grey and hard to see, before they were vibrant, fresh and sucked you in. They clearly signaled value, now they look like garbage cans.

 

Also Thunder explosions look silly and tame.

You could take a picture as they are made all m1 m2 m3 tank and weapons?

I liked the old graphics more than the current ones, personally. Also, I feel that the weapons, tanks, and paints were not given justice in their design an creation.

 

Control points is fun, though. :)

I like the graphics on the maps but think the paints should cover more of the tank. A lot more of the paint is now not visible. I'm thinking of camouflage here.

Also as in the other comment the thunder blast looks too small to give an idea for the area of effect. Maybe however this could lead to more accurate shooting on other tanks.

AFTER 1 DAY OF GAMING ....

CP SUCKS .... no strategy .... no plan .... just take 4 more tanks and go round the stage .... SO SUCKS ....

 

to many bugs.....

5 minutes ago i tried to write something in ingame chat.... and nothing ....

20 minutes ago ... i decide to leave a battle (yes CP it was) i press garage... nothing happens....

and the classic freeze of the servers where about 2 months now.... it's meaningless to wait .... you must press refresh ....

and yes....even when you had the flag and spent so much time and drugs to take it .

After playing for a couple hours on tanki 1.100 my rating started to drop.

 

Why?

 

Because stupid grey metal on alot of tanks are disorienting me which one to kill first. Also I end up killing the m2 viks instead of the more important m3 mammoth m3 viking targets because of the previous statement. The paints are getting masked by the metal too, guess what happens next when you shoot a blue-paint dude with ricochet and it turns out to be a zeus.

Remove excess metal or else if this update stays I will retire from tanki or be inactive until graphics are redesigned.

I don't like what you did, especially with tanks... but also most turrets look like made for girls who play with Barbies. :thumbdown:

And hulls - before they were like real tanks - now looks like space shutels for tanki pimps. :x It's awfull. Just put rockets in hulls asses to make complete sh...
