Much of the response of this thread is in extremely bad taste...we are trying to remember the terrors and the bravery of that fateful day eleven years ago, and some of you bring up arguments of propaganda and irrelevant disasters in accordance to this day!

Utterly nonsensical!

Have you no shame?

You should respect the dead.

According to multiple world powers' date=' more people would have ultimately died in the second World War, if the bomb was not dropped, and the fighting continued. That was the state of mind for the United States. It is a fact.[/quote']

Two wrongs don't make a right!! Nuclear bombs should never have been invented, let alone be dropped...

Fact is, the US still owns these nuclear bombs, attacking other nations with only the slightest suspicion of having them too.

I have one word for that. HYPOCRISY!

If you realy want a better world you need to start with yourself.

Peace :D

The US has missiles pointed everywhere and lots of other people have missiles pointed at the US. If any missiles were to be fired, WWIII would most likely start and there would be little to no survivors. Nuclear bombs are a terrible thing. There was no way around inventing it. If the US had not dropped one on Japan the Germans would have hit the US with one. The Germans had a project very similar to the US in creating the bomb. No one wanted it. It just simply had to be done.

Some people say

after Syria become free, because now they are in war, the Syria people vs Syria Ruler and his army

they say when it become free, world war 3 will start, how, i don't know.

Oh, is that how you justify the death of hundreds of thousands innocent Japanese civilians?

Pearl Harbor was a military to military action, in which the US got what they aimed for... the Japanese taking the first shot!

A lack of respect for the dead has nothing to do with it! It's the lack of respect for LIFE that pisses me off, because how on earth can you respect the dead if you don't respect the living.

By throwing a Nuke you clearly show that you have no respect for life at all, yet many countries still own them. As for all other weapons I feel quite the same, they won't do the world any good.

Live and let live is my motto! You can't expect the rest of the world to be the same as you, but when you respect that... love, peace and happiness will be all over the place 8).
