I still use XP, actually, I think of gettimg W.7 with the mew PC... And CONTROOL2 todays laptops are better than 2008's best desktops. Besides, I kind of 'turbocharged' mine :mrgreen:

I had vista in IT class last year... I barely managed to start MS Word without it crashing...

Captain, if even after updating the drivers they crash, then uninstall them through the Control Panel (if there are any there), then download DriverSweeper and install it.

 

After deleting the drivers from the Control Panel, restart the PC, but in Safe Mode (while it's starting, press F8 many times, till the BIOS appears - from there, choose 'Safe Mode').

In Safe Mode, start DriverSweeper.

Open it, choose 'Intel display drivers' (or similar), then click 'Analyse', after the analyse is completed, click 'Clean' - this will clean all the drivers.

Restart again (normal boot).

Install the new drivers that you've previously downloaded.

Restart again.

 

This should work.

same bug.for one pc.

 

but it is only one year old.and there is a bug.When i play bfh,or bf:p4f,or cod4,the screen shuts off and sometimes when i play cod4 the pc shuts down and i cant turn it on.the problem is videocard and also power supply is llike other computers-220 or 250V.i only know it has got intel g41 express chipset.

hmm it works perfect now

 

what i did is

 

before i go take a bath, i told my father about the screen again, he shouted: WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? don't come and cry here. wow.. i wasn't crying, there wasn't any tears falling from my eyes!! so i go back to the computer... and while i was downloading the driver.. the computer screen crashed [idk exactly what crashed] the only thing i can do is move the cursor.. i click on X many times and fast, no respond, i click on windows icon, it become highlighted, but didn't show the menu, so i become ANGRY, you know, lagging=getting angry, so i go to the switches of the computer, and pushed the button of the one which is connected with the BOX thing, i didn't just push it, i push it angerly, hardly, to calm down, and i take my cloth, and go take bath, after i finish, i come back, turned it on...

 

hmm everything is normal :D

 

the strange thing is how this topic become hot while i was asking for help.
