im really anoyed :shock:about the prices of weapons and paint WHY DOES A TIN OF COLOUR COST 12000 WTF and weapon upgrades shouldnt cost more than the main gun say you buy a new laptop for £1000 3 years later its slow and not up to date you go to a internet cafe to update it and it cost about £300 not £7000

come on, dudes...nothing wrong with tanki trying to earn some decent money for all their hard work in creating this FREE game. if you can afford the money, then you are lucky...if not, then do the best you can, and have fun.

exactly... they have to make their living somehow! Do you know how much all that server space costs? Its probably somewhere in the thousands... and they need to make that money back somehow. And on top of the operating costs, they need to make a living off of this

A BIT OF CASH MORE LIKE $9999999 if 1 person buys 1000 a week for a tenner tanki gets loads if all 400,000 players do that

There is nothing wrong with wanting to make a few $$ or rubles. The problem is that the longer you play, the less interesting and the more annoying it becomes unless you pay money. Its a model that just wont work. Eventually, the core group of players will get bored and leave, and the only money being made will be bits from kiddies with Mom's credit card. Oh well, it was promising.........

 

The prices are crazy expensive... I just looked and for me to "buy" one of the 12,000 paints would cost me $81 !!!! Are they out of their freaking minds???? What fool is paying that kind of money on this crap? Its a joke, right? I mean with 400,000 users, even charging $2 for a paint could net them $800,000 just for paints because people WOULD pay $2 , NOT $81.... I hope they take what money they ARE making and go to business school... get an MBA, and a clue, and learn how to market software.

I'm just 14 years old and I had never spent cash with tankionline. But I understand how is hard to make software, even more make games, because I also develop software. Many people here don't understand, but the developers have to eat, and for that they need money. :wink:

 

Btw, I would love if tanki becomes OpenSource. :mrgreen:
