Tanki for Android in English

Who else thinks there should be a program with the basic menus and controls for Tanki IN ENGLISH so that all you need is an internet connection (and not need an external keyboard), so that it's more phone (or tablet) friendly?

More lag only if A. slow internet connection or B. too many people for the servers to handle. In fact, lag on the phones should be reduced because a lot of the data for the game would be in the app.

a phones internet would make ur phone crush plus the cost of it not to mention the data. it just was made to call not play tanki and cost like £13 a minute

If this was to happened. Oh my goodness, your phone will crash every time you open the app. Tanki even makes my old laptop lag sometimes.

Guys tanki if ported to android would run perfectly on most smart devices made in the past 2 years!

Its flash that is slow, try running things like minecraft and tank wars and look at the number of polygons rendered and how smooth it is.

In terms with internet you could just connect to home wifi, not your phone network.

 

Also tanki could not develop an app for ios unless they either exlude them from the normal servers, had to wait a few weeks for there app to be accepted each time there was an update, or make everyone else wait for the update. Android can be updated straight away and will not be delayed by google play or similar.

 

If tanki ported to java for the web-based game, it would make updates on android easy because source-code could just be altered slightly and compiled for the android platform, which is trivial once its been done once.

 

I am afraid flash is all thats holding tanki from getting on to our powerful devices. As adobe have stopped support for it and disabled hardware acceleration (all that new graphics use them)

Yes, but there are some nice large screened phones aswell. Think of the xperia play aswell.

 

On another note why not get onto ouya.

It is an open-source console that costs like $99 that has actual controllers and xbox 360 quality graphics.

i remember that datie but on xbox360 yes would be less lag plus xbox720(coming soon) but dont get me wrong i like the idea for android

I have a PS3 controller in my sony laptop, I edited the controls for the controller to fit it into tanki.

 

It works... sometimes.

I wish I could move the turret with my analog stick though... It's not possible for some reason.

Flash isn't a problem. Just go to aptoid.com and get a less updated version if the higher version doesn't work.

Tanki once said they don't want te become a game for consoles. PC is their platform they say and I think it still will be.

If you have an old laptop, and a new phone, then which one will work better? You can't assume something based on old tech.

If you have an android phone, flashplayer, an external keyboard, and a reliable wi-fi connection, then you can play tanki on your phone. No excuses.

where will you get wifi out of ur house plus the network ur phones use only alow a certain amount of data even unlimited it just wont WORK
