thanks for the feedback :)

its actually only 8 'squares' longer than Silence and 2 wider! I agree it could be looked upon as a new map, however, i have tried to incorporate as many of the original 'silence' features that we all like, whilst creating an updated version. for example; many of the old sniping places are still there in the new version and there are only 2 ways to get to the blue flag and 3 to the red - same as the old versions :)

I like the way you made the center, many people will encounter their enemies there, this also means a good opportunity for shafts at both bases. :)

I would love to see this map in the battle list.

I also think the map seems a bit big, but it might not be once we play in it.

There is one thing I don't like: the part shown at 2:04 in the video. In Silence and Silence II you can't get there from that side, which makes it a good sniping point for the blue team.

That's not the case anymore in this map.

Otherwise, the map looks great, it's like an expanded version of Silence.

Well done, and I'm looking forward to playing in this map.

It's great !! The guys on the LOW SIDE will finally stand a chance. It evens up the odds. Now the "bad guys" have to climb a ramp too.

I love the WIDE RAMPS. They make a larger area for my ISIDIA PARTS to fall on when I get hit by a Shaft.

I agree with Splitterpoint. It's a good map for Hornets.

I think the low side has quite a good advantage for sniping. You just need to avoid the people at top shooting down.

I think the left-side (from reds point of view) needs something more, a spiral With a wall to make it easier to get up there and snipe.

(you know how people just camp there and have a big advantage =p

Good work.

Its a good map, but I think a few things could be improved.

Maybe make it more open, so there isnt so much division between the 2 bases...

Put a few more wall at the bottom, so it isnt just a (fairly) big flat open plane.

Remove some of the walls at the top? because you have some broken down walls, but I think removing part of the wall might be good.

And the last one...This is just me being a perfectionist.....walls around the edge of the map. Either straight ones making it impossible to all off, or angled ones, forming a nice edge, or straight ones going down, making it easy to fall off.

Could you send it to me, I would like to have a closer look at it, also respawn points? You have probably just hideen them, but It would be nice to see where they are, and have you included CP? I think it could work well in it.

I think it's a damn good map, better than both existing Silences. The main problem I have with it would be the route into the blue team base after going up the large long ramp - also, the routes into the red team's base from the neutral area (I'm assuming that, as in the existing Silences, the red team is to the bottom and the blue team on top). Those areas are very, very thin, especially when comparing it with the overall size of the map.

The map size demands at least 10v10 but 10 against 10 with such slim routes seems tedious to me. Of course, you could say that the thin passages make it a Silence map, after all both the original and II don't have wide passages either. But I think it would be a better map if the slim areas of your map are expanded.

Thanks again for all the comments guys they really do help! I have added some of your suggestions to the map, along with some edits by cheese and I will post up the new version shortly.

Keep the comments coming and we will end up with a great new map to play with input from the community!

Cheers,

MM

The new version is brilliant. No problems whatsoever ^_^ (Except for the inevitable "concrete-on-desert" issues, but to be honest you can't get around that)
