i was thinking about how cool it would be if water could be added to the game, and you could drive into the water, and hide underwater (but only for a limited amount of time before you die). I think it would be cool if there was a new map, something along the lines of swamp or marsh like, with trees and lots of pools of water, with dry paths winding around all the pools. it would be great for snipers, just pop out of the water, shoot, sink back into the water and hide. though the water should be hard to see through (when underwater) and should reduce the damage of your shot if you shoot when underwater.

share your ideas!

Tank can't die underneith water, can it? Plus there is already water, that was supposed to be in the game, but it wasn't added unfortunately. I had one map idea with water called 'Wastes', but when I open it with TT, it does not open. It may be because of the water. Anyway - this should go in the feedback!

Tanks, at least in real life, broke or could explode underwater 'cause of the high-pressure difference between inside and outside. Also, tanks movements is based on gasoline fuel, so going underwater will simply stop their engine..

 

Speaking about TO, the water was already suggested and some players made "map" with it using AlternativaEditor. Devs are working on new graphic elements, so this is a good idea speaking of graphics but already suggested.

Speaking of details you added, I don't think that water will ever change the fire damage or allow a player to hide, it will simply be transparent and everyone can go in/out :)

well i was thinking that if the water was hard to see through, it would add a great new aspect to the game, one where those small fast wasp's would skirmish in the water with close-combat, not having to worry about being sniped by the titans and railguns fighting above the water.

No problem, your is a nice idea and I dislike being un-respectfull :D

Anyways, if you saw all maps, usually items on the environment of each maps never close your camera view or your ability to see other players.

So, if you add water, and water will reduce or avoid you to look to other players, it won't be good.

 

Items like plants or death-tanks are little and reduce only a bit the view, the water should do the same or behave like the air but light-blue ;)
