Annoying cam-movement?

Hello!

 

I wonder if there's a better way in how the camera works when youre close to a wall or an object with the tank and is looking away from the object?

It can sometimes cause problems when the camera has to turn down so close to the tank when I move around next to a wall. When I play I constantly change the camera angle to see as good as possible but the camera can suddenly drop very close to the tank.

 

Maybe a solution would be to let the camera stay at whatever angle it's at and that the wall/object simply becomes invisible?

Maybe that could be used for cheating somehow, maybe it would be a mixture of the two? Camera doesn't move too close down, and the wall is still invisible so the angle remain almost the same.

 

Anyone got any good ideas?

I agree; I get frustrated a lot when this happens, especially at the iran center... they should patch those trees, they block your way too.

 

Maybe such objects... trees, bushes etc, should become invisible when they are infront of the camera? Thats usually how they do it in many 3rd person games.

Yes; but it shouldn't cause lag... and the system should not make mistakes in when it decides to make the object invisible.

I think it's pretty hard to implent.

You can try to click "Settings" and then uncheck the box near "Alternate camera behaviour", your camera will follow your tank differently.

I tried, but it doesn't change it...maybe you misunderstood? Or maybe there's a bug for me.

 

Anyway, it's not a big deal. But if Tanki is going to get updated, it would be really nice if these good ideas (objects get invisible, camera stays in the same angle) became reality! =)

The camera sometimes makes me dizzy! I get really upset when i go through the trees. It's like a blurr and you can't see anything, but the enemy can! I wonder if we could move the camer so it's indie of the tank looking outwards like in real life. Maybe that would be a bad idea... but I think it should be an option the the player.
