My Viceroy has been banned.

It has come to my attention that my Viceroy has been banned for the duration of 1 week. He has provided me with a statement to present in his defense.

I have been banned recently for posting a comment to a thread in the complaints section. I have been banned for 1 week (starting Nov. 18 2012)

In defense of myself, the Comment/Reply, (was in fact) against the rules, and I did deserve it.

 

The member had posted (complaining), that he was getting "short-changed" on his recent purchase of crystals from PayPal.

 

Having recalled from my memory that some people had not quite figured out the math formula that Tanki was using to grant said discounts from PayPal during a previous "sale" they had been promoting,

and felt this particular player had perhaps not been aware of the manner in which the staff members at Tanki and PayPal do their arithmetic.

 

 

The player had Posted as follows:

 

"on Sunday November 18, 2012, bought 1000 crystals that become crystals by 1250 25% bonus offered until 19. Then you have to add additional 1250 bonus for double bonus cristal card.

A total of 2500 crystals. I think you had 16,913 and I have added 2100 cristals :huh: .I have 19013 cristals. So I have yet to add 400 crystals :ph34r: .Should have crystals in total 19413 :(

I hope the pay as quickly as possible. thanks "

 

 

I, of course, recognized this error and proceeded to comment.

I wasn't commenting on the players math skills, rather I had merely commented that if he did in fact have close to 17,000 crystals, then why was he purchasing more.

 

Further, I felt the current rank of this gentleman, (Major General), should easily allow him to be able to procure them in just a few matches.

I continued to suggest the possibility that his playing style might not allow him to earn the crystals, in which case buying them was probably a better alternative.

I do not condone the behavior of my Viceroy, He can....at times be difficult. But I ask that his ban be lifted so he may resume his duties as Viceroy.

Concerning Case #3709157,

 

 

We the Court of Tankiland have ruled in the case of:

The People of Tankiland Vs. GeneralVeers.

 

 

We Have reviewed the charges and find as Follows:

 

 

On count 1:

1.15. - discriminating against inexperienced players (noobs): misinformation, harassment, mocking;

 

We find GeneralVeers; Guilty

　

On Count 2:

2.6. - trolling (encouraging community members to perform activities that might cause adverse consequences,

creating user names or engaging in other activities that might cause conflicts or insult community members);

 

We find GeneralVeers: Guilty

 

 

Sentencing:

 

We sentence GeneralVeers to a one week ban.

 

He will not allowed to sign into the forum, nor create games on any games server for a period of one week.

 

Further, GeneralVeers would be well advised to confine himself to gameplay only, as the other accounts under

his control are being monitored and scrutinized for further violations.

 

Since GeneralVeers has been an avid fan of the game and the forum, the court feels he has been here long enough

to have familiarized himself with the rules and should not have exhibited such behavior as to warrant a ban in the first place.

 

The fact that GeneralVeers has had no previous action taken against him (warnings or bannings)

was also taken into consideration for the final judgement and placement of sentencing.

Because of this he will still be allowed to access his personal messenger.

 

Lastly, during our investigation we find that the moderator who placed the ban to be doing his duty in a fine manner and would like to commend him on his watchfulness and diligence.

 

 

 

 

 

The Supreme Court of Tankiland considers this Case closed,

and would ask that this post be locked to recede into the archives of Tanki History.

First of all. Why you posted this?

Secondly, as I already told the topic creator: contact help@tankionline.com if there's something wrong with accounts/hacks/bans etc.

I posted it to show that I made a stupid mistake. I took your advice and appealed the ban at help@tanki.com.

The incident that got me banned to begin with is over-worded, but it is fairly accurate in detail.

I appealed to the supreme court (help@tanki.com) They assigned me me a case number, (above) and said they would look into it.

They told me why I had been banned much like you see it here (but with some exaggeration on my part)

I want people to know that when you don't follow the rules and get banned, this punishment is what will happen. (for those that have always wondered what happens when a person gets banned)

 

( and I thought it would be entertaining.)
