Cyber-bullying - it has to stop!

Recommended Posts

I've seen some Cyber-bullying in some threads. As I've now learned at school about it, I realized that this is exactly what happens in TO forums sometimes. I think this should be banned - people should get banned for Cyber-bullying. Example:

Player has been banned for a week: reason, Cyber-bullying

Player has been banned for a month: reason, Repeated Cyber-bullying

Player has been banned: reason, Repeated Cyber-bullying

What do you think?

Im also seeing a ton of cyber-bullying going on in the chat on games...the "lobby" and im seeing really inaproppiate things...the moderators really need to watch more carefully and they shouldn't hold back. Here in Canada a girl has recently commited suicide. She was cyber bullied on a website called www.facebook.com.

Cyber-bullying needs to end and i know that when i become a marshal im going to keep playing and watching for this kind of bullying and if i see it i will take a screen picture. And it will make it's way to moderator trust me, it will.

P.S. If you think that i would make a good consultant please PM and that will help me get accepted so please PM me!!

I don't think Tanki needs any more staff. They've already hired enough.

O rly?Just check the Forum...Pointless threads, scam topics, violations - they stay for days...And you say we don't need more Staff? :D

FBI..

•Pointless threads - Moderators can't stop people from creating pointless threads, only lock them.

•Scam Topics - Same with this, Mods can't do anything about it until afterwards.

•Violations - Again.. look above.

So let's leave them alive -_-

You are right, but not at 100% - example, scam topics. As soon the topic gets removed, less people will lose their accounts. If the topic stays for days, some noobs will believe and will give their data.

this problem can be solved very easily its called a report button in chat and in battles click the name of the player who breaks the rules in chat whatever that maybe and the highlighted text gets saved to be read later by a moderator with powers...this is not a numbers of moderators or lack of them its just more cool to get a special avatar rather than review the endless infractions thanklessly behind the curtain. I repeat this is not about how many people with powers there are.

Cyber Bullying

I've been on the lookout for this sort of thing. And i came back with a bucket load of cyber bullying in the chat. I think there should be a moderator "banning code" that looks like this:

Player has been banned for a day. Reason: Cyber Bullying:

READ RULES_______

If you think this is a good Idea leave your thoughts below. The thing is-is that there's alot of older players on tanki. That brings in lots of unappropiate language. Yes, players get banned for profanity. I think that the moderators should take cyber bullying abit further in the banning rules. There is two kinds of cyber bullying, such as "Random Applause" and "Straight Fame"

Random Applause:

Random Applause is used alot in tanki. It's when a player writes a very unappropiate thing in a general chat post. That means that they don't send say it directly to the person, they just write and send.

Straight Fame

Some older kids like to make themselves cool by getting in verbal fights. Unlike a random applause they click the name they choose to send it to.
