When Will Tanki Get New Weapons?

To add a new weapon to the game, it takes a lot of time to come up with an idea, balance the specs, make concept art, add to test server, test, rebalance, make real art, then test again, only then can you add a new weapon to the game. It takes a long time. There are probably even more steps that I don't know about. I don't even think tanki is working on a new weapon at the moment, they only finished rebalancing shaft not that long ago, so I would assume that they are not working on a new weapon just yet.

 

Patience is a virtue.

I hope the game creators work on that. I Know that if we are at least 1000 people who Support the idea of a new wepon gonna make admins think twice. We really really want a new one ^_^ aweh

Tanki's main priority at the moment is rebalancing all nine weapons. So essentially, you will be able to play 5 weapons more efficiently at higher ranks for more interesting gameplay. So, consider them new weapons ;)

Hmmmmm i hope it makes the game better -- I'm not sure at this time. :)

Because ... if new weapon would be less powerfull it would be pointless and if a new weapon would be more powerfull then everybody will use only this.

Weapon rebalancing itself is already quite questionable - why would anybody work hard to get 2'nd gen weapon if that will give no advantage while it costs 20 times more ... :huh:

Ofcourse not;

 

The tier 1 guns and hulls will have +- the same price as the tier 2 guns and hulls.

well, then it needs to be a completely new type of gun/hull for different gameplay. Take twins and firebird for example.

I haven't thought this through really but maybe someone could help out...

 

I was thinking about a new gun and that it would have to be very different. Like Rico, that gun is special as these shots bounce and brings in very different tactics.

 

So a new gun should have a very special characteristic and effect tactics used to play with the gun and against it....

 

The first thing that came up in my head is a gun that shoots rolling balls lol. Basicly they are powerful explosives and roll and can bounce a bit against a wall. Maybe the shooter double click when firing, and the time between the two clicks sets a timer when the ball explodes. He has to make sure the timing is right, althrough you wouldnt have to hit perfectly as it should be powerful and also be able to flip over tanks.

The balls can change direction if a fast tank drives into it or certain guns fire at it, so you can save yourself from the rolling ball if you are quick and you change its direction before the timed detonation!

 

The balls should roll quite fast, but not too fast.

 

Maybe the balls would have to fly a bit, so it wouldn't be impossible to shoot tanks above flat surfaces.

 

This would be a very fun weapon! You would have to think to really use it, and it would be really satisfying when youre attacked and quickly save yourself... maybe even change the direction and blow up the enemy?

 

 

Honestly I think this, or some version if this, would be really fun. Please come with suggestions!

we dont need new weapons! what we need is new PAINTS. seriously there isnt even a shaft+freeze paint. I surprisingly sometimes encounter drugging shafts and freezes in some games.

Also maybe a paint with 15% Thunder, 10% Rico, 13% Freeze, and 13% Rail.

or they can delete weapons and make new!

 

It's not about making a new weapon; it's about making it fit perfectly with the other weapons.

It takes time to balance the statistics; for example... that massive testing we have now in the test server.

i need new EVERYTHING!!!!!! they definidly need new weapons. but that wont be for a long timw. :'-()

they should make a gun.like railgun,it will go until it hits a force to stop it. if if hit a tank,it would explode with enough force that if it hit the side, it would flip the tank over! i would be like a M5 twins only more explosive. hahahahahaha...... it could shoot every 9.67 seconds. with is probably longer then the railgun. it would cost 200 crystals. would not be able to use until the rank, Master Sergeant.... LiKe mE.... i hope this gun comes into action soon if Tanki checks their own forums. LOL. ohh and the name... MP Plasma Thrower
