There are lots of languages spoken here, I think it would be great if you could find some way to improve communication.

A couple of ideas:

- Making it possible to use copy/paste on chat, so you can at least google for translation.

- Creating an "universal" iconical language with simple symbols that could be used in battle.

Examples:

Using ctrl+1 on chat would produce a symbol of a blue flag with a red tank going for it, meaning "our flag is under direst attack".

Or ctrl+mouseclick on same team player name, would print out his/her name on team chat.

Or ctrl+i meaning you require assistance from an isida.

I guess that any tank player can think up of lots of symbols that would come in handy in battle, either as a "shortcut to typing" or as means for communication between players who type different languages.

 

Any effort conducted in this direction would enable this game to also becoming a tool to connect different nationalities in a very positive way even beyond the game itself. It might even (in time) dilute the need you obviously feel to keep different language versios of this game.

That's already done - ctrl + click copies the nickname and then you can paste it wherever you want.

I posted a similar idea in Feedback, but it is still awaiting moderation...

It's called Quick chat. That means, if you press a certain key, a message will pop up in the chat saying something like 'I need back-up'

In Russian on the Russian site and English on the English site.. Also because you can't type and drive at the same time.

It's kind of awkward when you're the only one who speaks English, and yell out FLAG in English when everyone is speaking something else. Lol xD.

Although it is kind of interesting to see the different languages. Hapa means hurry, and that O with the circle through it means flag? :o I feel so smart.

Hapa means drugger in Russian. If you are talking about this: ф it makes the sound f in Russian, so it could stand for flag.

Meanwhile, I quite like the idea, despite it being from last year.
