Please vote against the damage of thunder on its own tank

the splash damage on your own tank when using thunder, it really makes from this very costy weapon a very pathetic gun.. tanks they all try to let you kill yourself when they stick to your tank... i have all m3 guns, but feel so sorry for thunder.. you can't get in the mid of maps .. always staying at the peripheries.. not to hurt yourself.. that keeps you away from the falling items.. this is unfair for its price, even when using the best anti thunder paints.. it still doesn't help alot, and if the idea is that its a burst gun.. then why it just hurt its own tank.. it should hurt all the nearby tank of the team .. its really sad to see this amazing gun to be like that ..

If you know how to use it , you will not die easily . Its the part of game , same like rico you can also hurt your self . I have nothing with thunder , I use it safely . All you need is skills when using thunder .

You realise. The Thunder has insane damage for it's attack speed, AND it splashes on enemies as well?

There's got to be some down points to the gun. So splash damage to yourself seems reasonable.

Plus generally, you shouldn't be using Thunder at a range close enough to do damage to you. If you are, it's very occasional.

I think it is an advantage that you can self-destruct, in case you are stuck. It's way faster than pressing delete.

for the epic amount of splash (especially with drugs) some balance on form of self hit is needed . In videos i see multiple tanks die at once ! got to get it once i level up :) :)

If you are smart; try to use the self destruct against them... Blow up in their face, don't let them have a kill.

It's their choice to bump into a thunder... it will not result in a kill, only damage.

You will start with fresh health. And this is a big advanantage in TDM's and DM's.

Getting kills while your enemy gets none.

If thunders did this more often, there would be less idiots who bump into you.

what u are talking about is right.. i know and am a skilled player.. but this problem prevents you from playing in short range maps.. not to mention you can't get in the middle to collect drugs.. u always have to keep a distance .. that was the point .. even if you totally remove the splash damage from your tank.. still rico m3 can beat you .. and some said that rico causes self damage just like thunder.. i kinda disagree.. its much less and doesn't happen on direct confrontation

anyway since most of you voted to keep the self damage.. then let it be :)

i have other guns to play with .. rico faraway better

rico too .. but thunder is faster .. but again.. am against the self damage.. however this topic is of no benefit anymore.. after the rebalance .. we are all scared especially those who spent lot of money to buy crystals ..

Exactly... And don't forget that no self damage = no splash damage... And this would be really really bad >.

Instead, get a paint with thunder protection

Learn how to use that splash damage... hit nearby walls instead of shooting the enemy in the face.

I do it all the time when walls are avaible; if not... just self destruct or drug.

But yes, zeus doesn't have protection against thunder... and I get decent ratios.

Thunder isn't a rush weapon; you shouldn't have let the enemy come to you in the first place

Don't fool around in small maps; ofcourse you get bumped frequently... Thunders don't belong there.

If I were the enemy; I would've done exactly the same thing.

i have thunder and i have all m3, when i play against thunder players.. whatever professional they are .. i just go stick on their faces... even with the best 40% thunder protection paint they have.. they still keep causing damage to themselves.. and am talking about professional marshals players.. remember even if you are professional with thunder.. there are people who are professional in how to hunt your weak points

there were lot of thunder players with zeus, as they thought it can protect them against ricos .. and i was having rico m3.. i didn't use my thunder m3.. all what i needed to do .. is just to stick my tank on their tanks.. and they were damaging themselves .. despite my rico wasn't causing them lot of damage ;)

and if play with freeze.. its a night mare for thunder .. but we are talking about a fast tank that is quick enough to reach to the thunder tank.. which certainly is not mammoth m3 nor viking m2 or hornet m2

and u have to always keep away at the periphery .. away from the falling items .. thats the problem .. most drugs they fall in the middle

.. and about your comment.. only those with hornet m3, were fast enough to keep a distance, while for viking to stay at a distance, i have seen most using double speed.. otherwise most viking players were very easy preys, and to be professional they had to drug.. despite am using viking m3 too .. but when i play with thunder i don't need to drug.. its so easy to shoot from far, or to keep chasing the flag catcher .. or even to stay at a corner to protect your base.. and now with the new reward system of TDM, thunder is doing great.. because u don't need to kill the enemy ;) somebody else can finish the job and u get half .. and with its fast reload rate.. u can shoot lot of enemies while the rest of the team finish your job.. thats why u don't see these days much TDM .. because of thunder and because of isida

yes thats what i was talking about .. and i know .. what u mean about being professional.. but don't forget.. you have nerves.. and u need to keep them cool.. otherwise thunder need lot of sharp focus unlike other guns are much more easy to handle

I use a m3 viking and m3 thunder as my main combo. I love my thunder Splitter you are good dude for sure. Better than me but sometimes I just have to charge and it does work if you shoot right. Even if there is not a building close i can shoot at ad 45 degree angle across their tank and kill them -- I do it all the time. It will be interesting to see what the re-balance brings for sure .
