Release 114 - Rebalance!

Well I thought I would give the "Rebalance" a go and see if it was an improvement and hey ho what do I find?

It is now a whole lot less fun than it was and guess what, that was the only reason I played the game in the first place!

Way to go, you have ruined the game in only a way you seem to know how, hope you are pleased with yourselves.

Will I be recommending it anymore, no certainly not.

All the previous updates made the game better but it seems greed has taken over and you are intent on destroying your own project.

Ban me if you like as I will not be playing much anymore as I cannot abide the new "Rebalance" format anyway.

This rebalance opens an enormous streak of updates in 2013. If you still have not heard about the rebalance, we suggest that you read the FAQ section on this.

 

But in case you already know everything about it, we invite you to play the updated version of “Tanki Online”. Seeing is believing.

 

In the garage you will find your supplies and an amount of crystals that equals the cost of all the weapons you owned before rebalance.

 

We encourage you to discuss the rebalance in this thread.

I think an 8 year old can think of so-called "balance".And this plan is adopted by children who do not know think.

You know tanki devs - do not ban the players from saying some bad words right now - they are very disappionted and hurt.

Listen to their frustration and learn from the harsh words used to define their level of dissatisfaction.

Hello Tankmen, it goes without saying that such major changes in the game will come with a lot of criticism especially if it involves an increase in the value of the game itself. As we have listed the disadvantages of this rebalance, I will take the time to list a few advantages and advice on the rebalance.

 

1. But to start, let me say that the rebalance was done so that the project had a future. Rebalance - is the foundation for making it possible to develop it, and without it, the project couldn't be developed at all. It is a necessity. "We don't want rebalance!" was heard but unfortunately does not work.

 

2. Buying experience - See the advantages. Have you ever felt like it was unbearably taking forever to rank up to the next rank with ~ 2000-3000 experience remaining? Now you can just top up with buying experience, might feel like you cheated in the first few days but all will soon get used it. The player wants to join a clan but can not meet the requirements in that particular clan. You can just top up with buying experience. Imagine two friends, played together and one ranks up such that they cant play together. You can just top up with buying experience. I can continue to list the advantages for a long time. This is absolutely not compulsory but an additional function in the game to make life easier.

 

3. Please note that rebalancing is not yet 100% complete as one or two things still need to be adjusted, take "twins" for example, the game designers are looking at it as I write. One thing is for sure "Rebalance is here to stay".

 

4. Each gun is compared with others taking its post-rebalance special abilities into consideration. The higher the abilities the higher the price. DO NOT compare the current M3s with the old one you had in your garage pre-rebalance, they are inferior compared to them. Allow me to explain why! The rebalance will allow the introduction of micro-upgrades where by one can upgrade a certain characteristic of a hull, add new abilities, personalize it and be totally unique from others.

 

5. Refering to the old balance.Just forget that it was. Price of every gun corresponds with the new balance. It would have been easier to introduce M4s to be sold at higher prices if the motive was to generate income from our rebalance. But that was not the case as this was the "REBALANCE"!

 

6. It will be harder to win with all other things being equal, and as a word of advice: "There is absolutely no need you go into the battle with high ranks."

 

7. Players always give reference to the old balance (the M3s and paints they had), which you say, we need to consider. But imagine, we were running a 100m race before the rebalance, now we are running a 100km race and everyone still has the same positions, so lets not compare the two as they are totally different. Food for thought: There are higher dynamics in the game now. Those pre-rebalance M3s are probably M2s in post-rebalance, you cannot expect to re-buy M3s as they are not the same.

 

8. A skilled player on an M1 can kill a inexperienced generalissimo with an M3. This has been tried and tested. Testers have gone through all sorts of combinations.

 

9. To see the rebalance with the right eyes is to imagine you were seeing this game for the first time. Don't rush into buying the guns and hulls you had before thinking they will be the same. In fact, don't buy anything you are not sure you will need. You probably don't need to own all the different guns.

 

10. To the paying customers, I know, change is always as scary as the first day at school. Lets just give it time, play for free if you are not sure and get used to the logic behind the post-rebalance before you start buying unwisely.

The loss of favourite Tank/Gun combos, often obtained over many months playing etc., is not the only unacceptable result of the Rebalance.

 

Log in - click on CREATE to see if your favourite map is now for higher ranks only.

 

Silence 2 now requires 233,000 xp, LEVEL UP for up to £44 with DCC

 

Berlin now requires a L.GENERAL rank, 787,000 xp, LEVEL UP for up to £160 with DCC.

 

Created a Dusseldorf CTF map at the weekend, in 5 minutes it was full with 20 players. Again, up to £44

 

Am I right or wrong? ( Above based on £4 approx = 2000 crystals DCC = 20,000 xp)

 

Tanks gone, Guns gone, Maps gone - ???? Gone, I'm gone.

As with all changes in life, you can't please everyone. It seems everyone in here is more concerned about themselves than what new horizions and possibilities Tanki has opened up to the world moving forward. Let me be the first one to congradulate the Tanki team on a job well done. I'm looking forward to 2013 to see what new horizions and challenges will unfold with the new Rebalance!

Experiences are earned, not bought. How could inexperienced players become experienced by purchasing xps?

So Devs, better put a rank limit on it before loads of n00b marshals appears.

 

Other parts are decent.

Although I lost my M3 railgun and M3 dictator, I might just be able to cope with it with the sale.

Yes, it is logical step from dev in right direction indeed where was motivation after WO5 with all garage M3 play further????? Nowhere!!!!!!!

And where it is now, when you can just buy everything from the first minute? And what was the point of the new three ranks, when half the people already gained them by purchasing? Like byteme2, liltle above, who's profile says he joined just today. I wont even try to express how much this looks like a pro-rebalance trolling. And Notchfan said it well enough - experience is called experience for a reason. Just like with love people, when you pay for it, its called prostitution, not romance. No matter how hard you try to explain that it is a good thing really.

I had m-2 rail before this update, i would expect to have enough to purchase m-2 rail again after the update. now i do not even have close to enough to purchase m-2 and its a laugh to even think about m-3 right now either because i do not have close to enough crystals to do that. Half the things i had before the re-balance, i cannot even purchase now because they are so expensive. You pretty much stole our crystals, giving us less for the price of more.

It may be worth logging in everyday to get the supplies and crystals. But I've lost interest in this game since the re-balance. I've lost most of my existing tanks, guns, armor which I had achieved through playing. What's the point in earning crystals to purchase new stuff or worst paying real money, if all these things are going to be, in effect, stolen from you at any time? The re-balance doesn't make any sense it completely undermines one's trust and negates one's achievements, there's no point in playing a game in which the goal posts are likely to be moved at any time. What is this Sisyphus Online? Roll a stone up an hill and watch it roll back down again. Oh what fun! lol

I repeat ...this "REBALANCE" isn not at all a good thing..

 

I think a lot of people ll leave this game...

 

until this moment I invited 5 o 6 friends to play at this game ...after this moment I ll go away and my friends too

 

are all people stupid here?

this rebalance is only a big mistake... all people know it...
