113 - maps "Crash" and "Gallery"

Hello, dear players! Today we updated the "Tanki Online" to version 113! The "Tanki Online" presents you with new maps: "Crash" and "Gallery."

Attention! I note that we have agreed these are a temporary maps made using a new "III-set propyl". We will turn them off later. There will be new maps coming in the future made in the same way!

Some may wonder why Gallery, and Crash lag extremely, unlike the older maps (other textures)

 

Here's the thing. The red highlighted areas mean that the textures/props are OVERLAPPING each other. This causes EXTREME lag (for most users, at least)

And... an original not-as-laggy map. (NOTE: Don't mind the orange highlighted areas, those are only the drop zones for the map)

The fewer of the red highlighted spots, the fewer lags during gameplay.

Anyways, with the way the textures are set up, it's almost impossible to reduce the amount of red highlighted spots, because it would create small holes within the game. (Almost literally, as you could just fall through the map). Those holes need to overlapped, as some situations have half of a prop, and need to be filled in with one FULL prop, which then causes the overlapping... anyways good night!!!

This is the future of Tanki Online!

 

I believe that these maps, along with the rebalance, will usher forth a new generation of happy tankmen, who fight fair battles in these wonderful maps.

 

Well done, Tanki, but there is one downside, and it is that these maps have a very poor framerate, especially for less powerful computers (such as mine).

 

Once you solve the issue of framerate, all will be well, and perhaps you could re-create the other maps using these wonderful props!

To take the game out of its era of old, and primitive fashion, and bring it into the era of technology.

Hi AlKLINES, Thanks for info re lags.

I would very much appreciate info as to how you made the fantastic over head maps which i have to do, for a research project.
