Range to damage ratio of thunder

 Share

Recommended Posts

I am going to buy a long range gun soon(during garage sale). These are the 2 combos which are in my mind, i will buy one of these:

  • Railgun m1 and hornet m1
  • Thunder m1 and mamoth m1

I have a doubt related to the damage which thunder does to opponent tank when distance is more. Does anyone know exactly how much damage is done and at what distance with thunder.

What do you think is better combo from above or you like some other preference ?

Everyone always posts what to buy but it all depends on your play style. Get the Rail/Hornet combo if you like to get flags and snipe across the map. Otherwise get the thunder with mammoth if you want to sit behind a wall and camp. It all comes down to personal preference. From previous experience (before rebalance) the thunder's damage was greatly decreased shooting across the very large scale maps. But on a medium/smaller size map such as silence, it is a great weapon.

I'm not sure but I think they reduced the angle of fire of the Thunder since the start of the reballance. I bought an m1 Thunder after reballance and it was great but now it won't hit tatgets that it could hit before. Has anyone else noticed this recently?.

If you really want long range... there is Rail and Shaft, Thunder and Smokey lose both 50% at latest 80m (which is also the range of m3 rico which is called a mid range weapon) but the two mentioned before dont...

So if long range means for you to shoot someone from one end to the other in Gallery... Rail, if it means to kill someone quick in Sandbox... Thunder ;)

Thunder's damage: Under 60 metres: 100%. Under 120 m: 75%. Over 120 m: 50%

Splash damage: Under 5 metres - 100%. Under 10 m: 25%. Over 10 m: 0%

60 metres is approximately the distance between the two flags in the map silence (considering a line in the air)

Your first question is answered, ask here for what to get
