Several notable video game developers criticized Microsoft for adopting a similar "walled garden" app distribution model to other mobile platforms with the introduction of the Windows Store—since they felt it conflicted with the traditional view of the PC as an open platform, due to the store's closed nature and certification requirements for compatibility and regulation of content. Yeah, Windows 8 really does suck, I tried it for a week and half of the gaming platforms I used didn't even run. Its awesome that Notch refused it too :D I love this guy

Windows 8 is a better version of Microsoft's strategy. They release one good OS (98, XP, 7), then one bad (NT, Vista). This time they released one good OS (Windows 7) and kept everything but sharpened the edges a little and turned it into Windows 8.

I used it for several weeks and I had no issues with gaming whatsoever. The only issue I had was finding drivers for my PC. Which was not Microsoft's problem.
