After rebalance we see wasps roaming the battlefield with an incredible speed, leaving once the fastest tank---hornet behind by nearly 1m/s; Though hornet is much more aerodynamic than the boxy-looking wasp. It's not only illogical, but also made hornet's title intimidating.

I do understand why the devs have done it this way, they've done it to make wasp capable of surviving and competing with other tanks.

But there's a better way of doing it:

Instead making wasp faster than hornet, give wasp a slightly slower maximum speed at a greater acceleration(ie reaches its top speed faster)than hornet would both make sense and make wasp an agile tank in the battlefield.

So tell me what you think about it.

I completely agree. I to understand why they have done it, but to have optimum game play the game physics have to make sense as well. Perhaps the devs will think of something genius for the next update! :)

The only problem with the Acceleration part is, as most of us know, acceleration and speed are completely different things.. So the devs would actually have to make a new statistic for every tank, and that would just cause more arguments throughout the Tanki community..

The goal was to increase the "value" of the Wasp as part of "balancing" the game; so the Hornet is no longer a T2 "replacement" for the Wasp - they are both valid hulls in their own right.

The "look" of a tank isn't an issue in Tanki - there's no air to resist.

In the real world at the speeds we are taling about (8m/s => 480 m/min => 28.2kp/h) wind resistance isn't a big issue compared to weighing less.

Besides what you ask for wont happen anyway, they do have a logic in their speed/hp relationship here.

Wasp is fastest but way harder to maneuver at its speed than hornet ever was (at old 10m/s as well). Wasp is clearly the lightest and weakest and so makes sense to be the fastest yet not easy to control tank.

So in this case I even have to agree with the devs doing to make Wasp fastest tank.

Acceleration time is probably unnoticeable, what you want is to make Wasp slower, but not increase its HP. Who in their right mind would buy Wasp then? It is already less stable. It makes sense that Wasp is the fastest because it is also the smallest and lightest tank (thus less HP). Also, I think it is for the best you accept the stats as they are now, it's not that big of a deal. Hornet is still Hornet, I speak from experience.

And a last note, I don't see any paradox, can you explain that to me?

Are you kidding me!? It takes about 3-4 secs to go from standstill to full nitro!! I have been killed many times just because I cant reverse fast enough from a short ranged weapon surprise attack, ducking into cover, or reversing after i got the flag (sometimes reversing is the only option)

Hello there , what is the speed is important for you? Can you explain it? The speed change or not it still a ' Hornet '

If your question was "why is speed important" then

1. More dynamic and exciting gameplay

2. Good for maps that have few players and with no/ few chokepoints. So no silence/farm/island. Sandbox is ny fav. Even if you drug, it doesnt mean that you go mammoth or dictator. Wasp drugging is good for no chokepoints map that will let you nitro away with the flag without being slaughtered by campers.

A few things to clarify here:

First of all, acceleration and top speed are two completely different things:

A greater acceleration makes your tank more agile(ie reaches its top speed faster, thus allows you to evade dangerous situations);

while top speed determines how fast can your tank move after accelerating overtime.

This mate explained it well enough:

Notice how wasp has the same engine as hornet; while the hull itself is 27% lighter then hornet.

Wasp and hornet has the same engine? U kidding me? How do you know?

153 speeds is enough for that .

153 speeds? And if you are refering to slower tanks I just have to say that going extreme on the speed area is a totally different experience than say bullying the crap out of people using drugs on slower hulls.

Minecraft fan,get back to your minecraft, and Get Out of Here.

Will you please stay on topic and stop posting your irrelevant and silly opinions?

Doesn't matter if I'm a MC fan because, I can be a fan of both(there's no rule against it).

Yus, I deliver the developers, parts to make every hull and gun on the market.

Sometimes I steal some blueprints.
