Remove battle rank limits at all!

I think you should make it to where ONLY your rank can play against ONLY your rank. Meaning, a Warrant Officer 2 can only play with other Warrant Officers 2, and Generals can only play with Generals.

 

Prevents a lot of game-breaking noobs mults and higher ranks from destroying you. Good idea, huh? Do it, Tanki.

There are a few problems with this.

 

1. Most people by playing with higher ranked or lower ranked members have made friends with them. This would make them unable to play together.

 

2. Some players would get bored if there were few players that were his rank.

 

3. Clans that had members with multiple ranks would not be able to play together anymore

Not really, people may want to play with their friends who are of different rank.

 

But, a better battles browsing system is needed (it was promised for 2.0) - people should be able to find battles by different criteria, regardless of which servers they are on. For instance, as a Marshal, if I join server 24, I often have a choice of 3-4 battles that are suited for my rank. If I want to play some map that is rarely played, such as 2042 or Industrial Zone, I would have to connect to one server at a time to manually search for it.

awful idea, this would not work out. maybe if you have no friends it would work but i like to be able to play with my friends who i am helping through the game.

I think the rank range should be smaller than it is right now for battles (for sure the default setting!) but making battles for only 1 rank is pointless as general rule... you still can do this for any battle you create ...

I find the ranklimits bad at how they are now. Clan may accept warrant 3, but what if they want him to play a clanwar? I can create battles from Issimo up to Warrant 5... This should be changed...

I remember facing marshals when I was a corporal.

And trust me... it wasn't fun at all.

 

I got staff sergeant at 2010 after 3 weeks of playing, then I quit because it was just too hard... and came back at June 2012. ^_^

Nah, ranks are no problem. I barely ever look at the ranks of the people that I play. i just mentally note the ones with any skill. Though the ranks for battles, like splitterpoint commented, used to be seriously misbalanced (I remember the same thing, also back in 2010 :P ).

If you fight against someone even 2 ranks above you there is a 99% chance you will be owned.

 

Rebalance has not done a thing about "equality" in fact it has made an even greater rift between the ranks.

You have the option to create battle with certain rank limits, you know? You can make it anywhere from your rank up to one several levels above you, or from your rank down to one several levels below. Heck, you can even make a battle with your rank only! All you have to do is change the slider at the bottom of the preview of the map in the 'Create Battle' GUI. (or menu, for people who don't know what a GUI is)
