International Perspectives

It is a rare event to find yourself speaking the same language as everyone else in a pickup battle. This is because Tankionline, with its nearly twenty million players, has a vast reach, that in fact goes all around the world. From China to Canada, there will always be at least a few kids who are logged on to the massive battles of the game.

Today, we are going to see just how diverse this game's population is. We will have interviews from players all around the world, who give us their nation's players' view on the game! Enjoy!

CompanionCube : Canada

When I still played Tanki, I always remembered what I was playing for: fun. As more people joined the game and community, we began to form groups who would battle with each other, which evolved into the earliest English clans in the game. I enjoyed playing in clan wars for a few years, always being able to help my friends and being able to laugh at the same time. Throughout the entire time, I always enjoyed being on the competitive scene of the game, participating in clan championships and Wolf Battles. I feel that other kids from Canada enjoy the game as much as I did. We enjoy playing with other English speaking kids.

hotwheel : Malaysia

I have played Tanki Online since 2010 , I really love it and I enjoy it so much that I bought crystals so I could be more powerful . I have enjoyed the game until now. Also now got many players from Malaysia that come to play this game. Like sploder, Syu-Key and others that are low rank and high ranks. I have met many of them. :) As far as I see the game is getting better with the graphics and the rebalance , but many players complaining about problems called ' lag '. To all Tanki players: I hope you can enjoy the game like how I have enjoyed it for the past few years. Tanki will make the best for you guys; don't worry! .

MickGur : Israel

In the past few months, the rate of players joining from Israel has been growing tremendously. Me, as a player from Israel, view the game as incomplete at this moment. Meaning, there are many things the tanki administration needs to work on and improve. For example - server lagging, cheaters, bugs/errors and the XP buying. In addition, I think the rebalance has changed a lot in the game (some of which isn't liked by the players), therefore it resulted in many players leaving. However, for the other part, it only brought more interest and "meat" into the game.

ARAKELYAN : Russia

Hello! What can I say about the game. I am playing Tanki Online for more than 3 years. I am in GT clan and participate in many clan tournaments. To be honest, this game is not very popular in France, this is because in France second language is Spanish/Italian. But in Tanki Online there are only 3 languages (Russian, English, German).
If they bring in a new language- French, I am sure that the number of players who play from France will go up!

KlubnikaNikolaena : Portugal

It was simple because at that time I understood a bit of Russian. Tanki helped my Russian and English skills as well; now i speak both almost fluently. People say I'm good at it. Even my mother was shocked after hearing me talking in Russian or English in my room with my clanmates. Of course it would be nice if tanki were in Portuguese. I see many Portuguese players lost in the English servers and try to help them with what I can. =)

SuperNick95 : Italy

I believe that the Italian Community is composed by around 5000 users. It's really easy to find italian players in battles. Italians seem not so satisfied due to the lack of translation from english language to italian language of the game and a good amount of them don't speak nor understand english. However, from what I saw written in some Facebook groups and looking at their presence in the game, I can say that they have much fun since they like the game and find it compelling. We are speaking about players of different ages, but for a good part 13-14 years old users.

D7D7 : Saudi Arabia

Arabs usually love to play with drugs and showing off how wealthy they are you know looking cool in front your friends. also they never go solo they hunt in parties that makes them looks stronger and give other clans or parties sign that they ain't afarid. They don't usually care about crystals if there is friend needs help they like to spend money on drugs just to help friend some times they waste alot of crystals on drugs and go into battles over 300 flags or (999 flags on the old version). Also they love doing 1v1 with drugs it fun for us because you never expect what your enemy will bring to the battle it all depends on skills and drugs.

fathullo.shokirov : Moldova

We, Moldovans like to play together in groups of friends,(with lots of DRUGS!), and help Ukrainians and Russians, fight against Armenians and Saudi Arabians, as we consider them our enemies.) We often played No-Supplies Battles because we also enjoy playing without drugs, in contests of cunning battle efficiency! Other than that, we are pretty much like all the other players of the game.

falcosenna1 : Belgium

There aren't so many Belgium players in this game. But they who play this game are, on the most part, very professional players with a good view of things. The biggest portion of us are in the clans The Mighty Midgets and Dutch Warriors. Almost all Belgium players have got the same technique: they always want to attack. They won't drug very often. They will only drug when they see that they can win the battle while the fund is high. They will also use their drugs when they see a gold box and when they want to help a friend. Belgians have a preference to play with other dutch speaking players while using Skype, for instance, but that isn't necessary.

FederalBureauFBI : Bulgaria

Bulgarians love the game mostly because it's an online game and they can play against their real-life friends. Our guys buy lots of crystals and also really love catching gold boxes. :D The only thing they hate is lags, but let's hope that will be fixed with the new server platform.
The Bulgarian community is not really big, but it's growing fast. There are probably several hundred Bulgarian players in the game. Bulgarians aren't very active in the Forum either.
The really nice aspect of Bulgarian players is that they really love when someone accomplishes something in the game - for example, when someone is about to rank up, we make parties, etc. They're also really proud that I became a part from the Staff.
So, that's what we are :D

White_Owl : Ukraine

We can not donate/buy crystals much in the game, because most of us are not rich. We feel that games should not be as important as real-life things, like food and charities. When playing, we usually chat in Russian, because that is the most common language in the game and in our country. It is very similar to Ukrainian. We are pretty kind to other members of other communities. Our nicknames are normally random things, and normally written in English. (Like my nickname!) When looking for a clan we try to find Russian clans, because we have more in common with them.

Tommy60 : United States of America

Americans and British players make up the second largest group in Tanki Online. Since the game was started, we have always been playing it, along with our Russian friends. We have a large community, with members of all varieties, ranging from fun-loving trolls to popular moderators and reporters. We are very active in the English forums, showing off our tanks and victories in battle. Many of us have purchased crystals at some time or another, though we are starting to stop, until our national economy improves a bit. While we enjoy socializing amongst ourselves, we also like to interact with members of other communities! Lastly, we can always be counted on to help a friend out in a long battle.

Great, but maybe Britain deserved it's own interview (yes, I know it got a mention by Tommy60 for the USA) :P All in all, still a fascinating read, well collected :)

Go Ukraine! I think it's wonderful to hear they don't waste money on crystals over there, and charity instead. Beautiful. That may be the country where people don't swear at you for any reason they can find.

well..... where are Indian people or Asian? like @MiiNinja and @VANSHAJ

They were not included in this edition for the following reasons:

1. The article was thought of and produced in a matter of days-- not a lot of time was given to the interviewees to write responses.

2. I have never heard of either of those two users, seeing as there are 20,000,000 other users I could know.

No it isn't, a good reporter should have prepared their article way in advance so that they had their content churned out on time and to the highest quality possible.

Hehe, I myself am part Moldovan (my dad's side), and part Ukrainian (from mom obviously, born there). And a few years ago my whole family immigrated to the US. So I take the comments from White_Owel and fathullo.shokirov with full pride.

Oh and I speak Ukrainian fluently, which is almost exactly the same as the Russian language.

In another sense, the article was great to read, and was actually the only interesting article I've yet read here in the English Community. Cheers, guise.

I completely agree, which is why I am surprised as to the high quality of this report (which is what I should have said, rather than the reporting itself being great) :)

Cheers White_Owl! I live in Ukraine too, even though I am American, and it was my Ukrainian friend who introduced me to tanki. We like to talk with each other on Skype while we battle.

I really liked this article, it truly gives me a sense of international togetherness of the game.

I hope you can do a second series in the future, with other countries such as Spain or Germany or India!

Thank you for the great read!

:excl: México, España, Venezuela, etc.....

In general, there are a lot of players that speak Spanish and there is a section for us.

There are many hackers that speak Spanish and there are no moderators that speak Spanish to bring order.

The Spanish speaking people want a place in Tankionline, let us take into account please, we are hundreds......
