Am I the only one who actually uses the turret?

Okay, I keep going in battles, and i keep seeing that a whole bunch of people never use their turret, or they very rarely use it. While I use my turret to its full capacity, since is very useful with pesky freezes who think they can get behind me(even though i do that).

Anyone know why they don't turn their turrets?

Because they are noobs and bought XP.

There's no structure in this game anymore.

People like them, are joining your battles, take space and will let your team lose.

I've thought about increasing the rank limit to Colonel before they can buy XP.

The rank of colonel still doesn't unlock M3 items, so buying XP won't be completely useless.

This will give more experienced players in high rank battles.

To bad it also decreases the game's popularity.

Many people don't have patience...

So I don't think anything is going to change.

In other words; deal with it.

I asked some players if they could turn their turret. One said his fingers hurt if he did that and another said he could but didn't like to do it. Most don't respond. My guess is that they are too lazy to try, or tried once, saw it made it harder to play and just gave up trying. (I remember my tank turned that way and my turret the other when I just started playing, incredibly annoying but I kept trying).

Some don't even turn their turret when you bump them sideways, they just keep shooting forwards.. Those are the noobs, it is a pity you can hardly avoid them.

I have my left pointing finger on the space bar. Don't ask me why... I play Unreal Tournament with my thumb on the space bar. It would be easier to adjust the camera view, but it is a too much of a habbit now to use my pointing finger..;p

You must have done some finger work outs... It's really uncomfortable when I try it.

I have to agree but it makes life rather easy to earn those xp points if they're on the opposite team

Like many i use my turret and tank independently to get the most out of my game play

I've turned my turret since I joined.... So I turn it automatically without thinking about it. Yes, I have noticed many people do not turn their turret. I use it to my advantage. Sneak up behind them and keep them from turning their hull around. Kills them quite easily!

I think there's really 3 skill levels.

Beginner = no Z/X turret movement

Intermediate = no PageUp/PageDown (looking up and down around buildings)

Advanced = uses turret/PageUp/PageDown, but also runs tank backwards so your weapon is closer to front. Prevents a lot of shaft and railgun hits coming up ramp in Silence. :-)

You guys are right. I see a lot more high level players who don't turn turrets, clearly a case of "buy XP." Hehe. Definitely need a minimum rank to buy XP. Silly to see Lietenants running around who can't see you from the side, lol.

Why bother complaining though...free kills!

I always have my right hand on the arrow keys, my left thumb on the space bar and the rest of my left on the turret keys.

It works fine...

exactly how I use the keyboard. It works like magic.

Well its the "rebalance effect" :D ..Evrything has turn upside down. Now in most battles i see high ranks players using wasp, twins or smoky (and they are really really good with those)...while the lower ranks use mammoth, Shaft... :o,etc etc.. M not complaning though. Its Refreshing!!!..in a sense... ;)

You couldn't be any more right there. It annoys me to no end when I see my friend play. He picked up the turret ability, but chooses not to use page up/down. To me, all of those in combination are extremely important in a wide range of situations. ~Going backwards is also very nice.

that's what I said!

I will be laughing when they join your winning team.

You will lose for sure, and you don't like it.

Gosh, it happened so many times to me.

That pretty much describes me: when I started I didn't know how to turn the turret... but I tried and now can't imagine not turning it. But I still didn't use Q and E, those came later. Now I use everything.

But before the rebalance there were a lot of higher ranks that didn't turn the turret too, now there are just more.
