Connection closed by server

Played a 30 minute battle on Boombox which turned out to be a tense game as our team were outnumbered. Despite this, we were set to win, but 2 minutes before the end the screen went black and I got the dreaded message 'connection closed by server' .

 

This was at exactly midnight London time, so I thought it might be the servers restarting but when I hit refresh, the Tanki website was not available. I tried the forum but this was down also. Anyone have the same problem ?

 

Usually if the servers are restarting, the battle ends and the crystals are awarded, but this was weird...

This happened to me once, i refreshed and it did not help. I got kicked right out and i ended up having to exit the whole website out. When i have tried to enter other battles on different occasions, i have not been allowed to because the message "connection closed by server" has appeared.

So... not just me then :) I was really gutted tonight because there was around 60 or 70 crystals that I could almost touch... Everything was going good with no lag etc, so it was disappointing but that's the way it goes.

u are 100% right i was playing on the other day in combe 10 on 10 and my team was winning 5 to 3 and 1:00 to go suddenly i got stuck couldnt move my tank and that was for 378 crystals and i was positive i was the best it gets really annoying did not get any crystals i strongly agree it should stop

If you are not from Russia, but from across the ocean then it happens a lot. There is a weak link and it doesn't seem that Tanki are going to fix it

DAMM... they've found me out lol. There goes my invasion plans... err I mean 'winning the battle for the hearts and minds of oppressed people that just happen to be sitting on vast resources needed by the West'...

I have heard something about this before. I read that a connection between Russia and Europe sometimes fails due to being overloaded.

'Connection closed by server' 3 times yesterday, and twice today when leading the points score.... it's becoming impossible to play. The Russians just keep on playing in the match and getting the crystals, and the rest of the world get kicked off the map.

There was a warning on the main page, i didnt take risk to lose crystals, so im happy

It's awesome, isnt it... just like this what happens llike 10 times a day to me:

 

 

BUT The new server platform will be magical and fix this so after waiting and hoping for 6 months by now it is told to be soon (like next month) there!

But right now it seems that they made everything double worse ... maybe to be able to say after the big update "See it's all better now"

This happens all the time but because it goes under-reported Tanki will not do anything about it.
