Forum infested with trolls.

Is it just me, or has the number of trolls greatly increased in the past few weeks? Almost every topic is pointless, and in every topic there is at least one troll.

Something needs to be done.

What is wrong with trolling? Tell me. Let's have an enlightened discussion here. Try to show me what is wrong with innocuous trolling "just for fun", as is almost all of the so-called "trolling" on this forum.

 

Note I'm not talking about cyber-bullying, disrailing threads, or hating on people. I'm talking about friendly, fun, trolling whereby what you say is a bit random, funny, and not meant to be taken seriously.

 

In fact, looking through your recent posts, I see a large number of "forum crimes" I consider to be some of the most serious around, far more than even the worst kind of trolling.

 

1. Being a "yesman". If all you are going to say is agreeing with someone else, then don't bother. If you can't add anything to a discussion, don't. Example: http://en.tankiforum...howtopic=166492, http://en.tankiforum...ic=166450&st=20 (your second post on that page)

 

2. Impersonating a mod. ._. Example: http://en.tankiforum...60#entry2834107

 

3. Short-post fests. Excluding your entry for the poetry competition, all your posts on your second page of posts: http://en.tankiforum...rch_app_filters are less than two lines, and all but two are less than one line. That's what I call flooding, as in very few of those posts I would consider there to be any positive contribution to a discussion.

 

Why criticise trolling when there are far worse crimes being committed all the time in our forum?

It's the accuser's who are commiting crimes, and they all seem to work with each other swearing and getting away with it because they seem all so well behaved when they could be hoodlums whose sole cause is to target the people who try to be funny. Selena21212

I consider trolls to be funny and entertaining as well. But when trolls are almost the only people ever posting anything, it can get a bit annoying.

 

I am sorry if I broke any rules. I guess I'll have to reread them.
