January 28! Release 121!

Welcome tankmen. I'll be brief.

 

On January 28 "Tanki Online" will be transfered to a new server platform. This is why we are making release 121.

 

Transfering will begin on Monday, January 28 at 03:00 MSK and will continue until the evening. Platform transfering is a very important and laborious process, that is why it will take some time.

More information:

 

A team of 12 programmers re-wrote the game code, while fixing many bugs and errors. This process took over 6 months. So you guys see that Developers actually do care about the game. Don't think the opposite. :)

 

After the new platform comes:

• Servers will be able to handle about 5000 players, not like now - only 2000-3000
  
• Server loading will be much faster
  
• The servers will be the same and their amount will be the same
  
• Servers will be more stable, meaning 'Connection closed' errors will appear more rarely
  
• Lag problems will be reduced and even disappear (programmers made some changes on the database and optimized the server tasks system)
  

• New content (updates/releases) will come much faster
  

Note: When the new platform comes, the first loading will be really slow. That's because your browser will have to load the new resources.

Also, in the first days after the new platform comes, there can be some problems and errors. If you find any problem or error, just give info about it here.

The new server platform is not connected in any way with game content, interface, guns or maps. The server platform means just new server system, a more stable one.

 

Everything (maps, tanks, guns, paints, interface, etc,) will stay the same after the new server platform comes.

Yes, in future there will be changes in interface, content, etc. But NOT when the new platform comes.

This release is not going to change TO appearance, but will change many things inside. It will allow dev's team to implement new content much easier and faster.

OK, when you say loading time will be really slow the first time, do you mean as slow as when you loaded Tanki for the very first time or slower?

This is great news, I was waiting for 15 minutes to get into a battle and when it did it lagged so badly...

But even if the lag is fixed I can't play due to Internet problems, stupid BT sabotage... I can only use my phone for the forum.

Well, I don't think anyone can say, since it depends from your browser, Internet speed, etc.

It's all about minutes anyway, just wait and see ;)

in test for no reson it just shows the background when its loading but nothing shows and it happens alot to me for NO REASON and its on the test then it just says connection closed by server
