Stop doing giant maps!

Please Tanki stop doing giant maps!!! Crash, for example, is so big that you need 20 players to have a rasonable gameplay and an exelent computer that dont have lags. The same with Gallery...

 

I saw in your Facebook that you will make 2 new maps: Bastion and Depo... The two are giant too!!!

 

Please, make interesting maps... Like Opposition, Station, Sandbox, Combe, Valley, bla, bla, bla... This are maps with exelent gameplay... make maps 5 vs 5, 7 vs 7, no more!

I sort of agree, I like all the mid-sized maps tanki used to make. Like kungur, silence and combe. They used to make maps that looked like they came right out of the 1860's. Now they're all modern and screwed up. I'll keep playing the old maps tho...

If all the maps in Tanki were small, it would have less players. Its good that Tanki has a variety of different sized maps that way we wont get bored easily. The more you play on the large maps, the quicker you'll get used to them, and they wont feel so big anymore.

 

I prefer medium sized maps, because i use thunder. But gallery does seem a bit too big.

But maybe 7 vs 7, I like Silence, and those big maps, but Gallery and Crash are very boring...

I really like the Kungur and Magistral maps, but also enjoy the smaller ones such as Sandal and Opposition. As Monkblob says, variety is good.

 

I don't play the Crash or Gallery maps because they don't seem to flow - by this I mean the tank movements have to be more stop/start. Also I have worse lag on both these maps.

How can Lentovni deny players access to the new maps ? I think he is just saying that there are reasons why certain maps are popular. They have a combination of certain elements that make good gameplay. Perhaps he is hoping that Tanki will continue to make new maps with these principles in mind ? Of course, it is good to be brave and explore new directions once in a while to see how things turn out.

I do not agree that they should stop making big maps, because that is what others choose to play in.

 

But I do agree that they should add small maps, in size of Ping Pong up to the size of Red Alert, rather than focusing solely on Dusseldorf-sized maps.

Many larger maps are only open to higher ranks.

 

Dusseldorf, one of the largest maps, is a great map when you know it well and stop getting lost. Dusseldorf CTF battles very often result in great team work and gameplay with the equivalent of tank army play.

Industrial Estate is another bigger map which maybe should be open to all ranks.

 

Sandbox has been suggested as a smaller map type to be repeated. Smaller maps can become boring when you know them really well and you use camera angle and turret rotation plus reverse gear etc.. Also a small map is prone to respawn kills and can result in battle collapse and you find your tank is the only tank left in the battle. Good for crystals if you are willing to wait for battle end.

 

Most bigger maps are more fun to play once you know which way is up - I've seen tanks carry flags round in circles looking for the red or blue base.

 

Lag will be less with the new platform so I would like to see more new big maps please Tanki.

If you can't play Big Map , just play Small Map . Whats the problem with it ?
