About Team mate sabotages

Aiming at an enemy. Crosshair swaying. Adrenaline rush.. ..and your team mate fires upon You just from behind just for the heck of it.

You turn your turret and your attention draws away -and in about 0.20secs you´re sniped dead from afar. Familiar situation?

IMHO: sanction/penalty after like 3 "radical" intended provocations against own Team.

Suggestions?

Clans (or adept but casual teams) sometimes send tank(s) to switch sides temporarily to harden things amongst the enemy.

It is cunning or desperate a move in various situations. These both are very unsporty.

Split second bad moves=shooting from the hip should however go unpunished. You see a cat.track and you shoot.

I want your opinion on this matter. <_<

shooting own teammate should take away battle score (but not XP) so someone with a negative score could be banned

No doubt some are saboteurs, but what seems to happen pretty often is a team mate is jealous of your score and wants to drag you down. Had the enemy flag and many times a team mate will sit on our flag to prevent a capture. Also, blocking your path when carrying the flag back - he then hopes you are going to die so that he can get flag. This happened yesterday, but instead of him getting the flag, we both got destroyed... We ended up losing the game by one flag - and we all lost out on the crystals. By their selfish actions they ruin the game. I think you can report someone for doing this, but I can't remember how.

This and similar situations have happened to me many times. But consider this one: The opposing team all had the same paint job (coincidence? I don't think so) and no one on our team had that paint. We were behind in CTF but finally banded together and started playing as a team. We caught up and surpassed in score and flags. Suddenly two tanks with the same paint as the opposing team joined our team (coincidence? I don't think so). They blocked us from scoring and deliberately blocked us so we got killed and the other team would recover their flag. When the opposing team would come to get our flag, these two tanks would prevent us from shooting upon them by any means possible. They won, but they had to cheat to do it, which makes us the better team.

 

I think it is very pathetic when a team has to cheat to win and I'm not including using enhancement packs ("drugging") as cheating, but more in the area of poor sportsmenship. If they tried this in an official tournement they would be banned from the competition. (To bad they can't be banned from normal play, too).
