a Question about Railgun!

As you know the railgun M1 is able to cause a 120hp damage, So I invited a friend with a Hornet M1 (hp:119) to try the railgun on him. But I was surprised that i can't kill him from the first shot, that's weird , isn't it? i tried to shoot him in many different positions but same , can't kill him! Not just that, I am supposed at least to make him lose more than 90% of his health but i noticed that after shooting him , he still has an important amount of Hp! ( PS: he Has no colour against railgun)

Please tell me how does the railgun work?

the damage has a certain randomness about it, it does 80 to 120 hp of damage ( if I remember correctly).

This doesn't mean it'll always do the top end of the of the damage but somewhere inbetween the 2 values, but i do think that the further you are from the target, the weaker the shot damage is.

ya but it should at least reach the top once? i tried many shots , but you see that the hp left on him is more than it is expected to be! you think that i should shoot him from a large distance?

It is very rare for railgun to do its max damage. M1 will probably do a lot of 110-119ish damage. Its the same on my second account. Sometimes i one shot kill M0 wasps with railgun(M0), most times i dont.

it can do damage from 80 to 120 kinda like smokey critical hit but more likley it does damage 80 - 120 rondom or if u hit corner less damage down middle little more

Smoky's critical hit deals exactly the amount of damage as the statistics say, because it's 1 number... no cooldown involved.

The M1 railgun's damage can variate between 80 and 120 damage, but it doesn't have a cooldown either.

This means the damage will not get affected as the distance increases.

 

The angle of the shot from your railgun will not affect the damage either, so this means it's all random.

Notice how it says like 90-120 hp or something like that? It means it CAN do 120 doesnt mean it WILL do 120 get my point? Distance doesnt matter because Railgun as well as Shaft has unlimited range.

It won't do 120.

Before the rebalance I used m3 rail. It had a max damage of 85. I used it for more than a year, and I never one hit KO'd an m2 hornet(which had 83 health at that time.)

Yeah. Just like my Thunder, which is even more unpredictable because it loses damage over range.

Thunder has a cooldown, meaning the damage will decrease as the range increases... but you already knew that.

Railgun doesn't have a cooldown, but yet; the damage is still random.

It's very realistic, as, in real life, you wouldn't always do the the maximum damage.

saometimes it can 1 hit but very rare i am rail user m2 and hornet m2 so very rare to 1 shot

You dont do your max damage for all weapons (except shaft)

a m2 hornet (138) needs 3 shots from m1 thunder (70 + 70 = 140 ) :blink:

 

same applies to m2 hornet was m2 rail (138---140)

The Damage of Railgun is random , sometime it can be 90 , sometime it can be 100 . It is random .
