[UPDATED] Isida Guide

I currently am using Isida, it is an amazing weapon. I am making this due to koolwalky's being outdated.

Pros:

- Can heal allies.

- Can kill enemy and have full hp, if enemy DPS is half or less of Isida user's DPS. (50% life steal)

- Free EXP by healing allies. (1.5 bonus removed)

- M3 unlocked at low rank, compared to other weapons.

- Auto aiming.

Cons:

- Lowest range weapon in game.

- Unlike Firebird and Freeze, Isida can only attack one tank at a time.

- Weapon can only be used if aiming at enemy turret.

Some important facts!

- Isida's range is 15, but if you attack someone, the range stretches to 20.

- Isida cannot kill Mammoth or Titan of the same level.

A good Isida video that holds useful tips.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weYttfUlOq4

Fairly old but holds useful information. Note the person in the video is not me.

Isida in different gamemodes:

[Deathmatch] - Not the best gamemode for Isida, due to the fact it can only hit one enemy at a time, needs to recharge, and its ability to heal friendly tanks isn't activated. The only part is that Isida can still self-heal in DM, which is good. Nowaways, the most common DM is a Polygon DM. Due to Polygon's size, Isida will be killed by Thunders, Railguns, Shafts, and even Smokys. Equipping anything besides something with fast speed will lead you getting killed easily, but fast tanks have low health, and Polygon's size is way too big for a Mammoth to travel.

[Team Deathmatch] - A much better gamemode for Isida then Deathmatch, and it has the ability to heal teammates. But the gun that dominates most in here is Railgun, because it can take away a lot of HP. You might get good score on healing, but killing traversing deep into enemy lines has never been Isida's thing. One thing however, TDM shares points, so Isida has a decent DPS, and will get some points, but TDM is not the best for Isida.

[Capture The Flag] - You almost always see a CTF with Isida. Why? This is because Isida is unique, it has the ability to heal teammates, self-heal, and be the most feared weapon on the battlefield. If you have a light tank and an Isida is close by, you are probably dead. Why is Isida so good in CTF? That is because the main objective is different. Here, it is to get the flag, not kill people. A good tactic is to heal a strong tank to clear out the area around the flag, then grab the flag for yourself and get good points for capturing it!

[Control Points] - Not much information here, because it is a rare gamemode. My only suggestion is to heal your teammates and help them out.

Tips and Tricks:

- You can just sit in base and heal the campers, no matter what your friends say about you. Even if you heal an M0 hornet, you are helping the team. If you say why? Then here's the deal. You heal an M0 hornet to full HP. An Enemy Railgun shoots for him and does a 1 hit KO. Technically, you made that Railgun shoot and by the way, Railguns take a lot of time to reload thus enabling the rest of your team to at least get a single shot off of him. Most people will disagree with me on this one, but the Thunder players and some other Railguns which I know really like people who can make those Railguns come out of cover.

- Be sure you use those nano-bots at all times, a good Isida player rarely lets his weapon to get fully charged. Just remember that in a head on fight between two Isidasthe best one will always be the one who can use every single second of his charge.

- Know your advantage, You can make that Freeze look like a noob or a pro. Its all in your hands. If the Freeze only attacks you and you are attacking him at the same time, his damage will be reduced for a while. Use this advantage for the "team" and make sure that whenever you charge a Freeze, he only attacks you and no one else. By that time, 5 seconds are a great deal once you think about it, but a smart freeze player will use the five meters (m) difference between you and him, and eventually kill you, staying out of range.

- Know your limits, any paint with 20% protection against Isida is going to be hard to take down. Attacking an Irbis paint user will make your M3 Isida have around the damage of an M1 Isida.

- When battling a Railgun, let it shoot you first. That way you'll be able to get that HP back and get out of there with full HP.

- You remember that you can only attack the turret, right? Well here's something. You can attack the Turret in any direction no matter it be above you or below you, as long as its in 15 meters and you aim for the turret you'll be able to attack it. However its easier said than done. Only professional Isida players use this. Same goes for healing as well, You can heal those campers on top without even bothering them.

- Always try to heal the one getting targeted, it won't make any difference in a fight if you are healing an M3 mammoth who's not even getting targeted.

- Know who you can out-damage, a perfect example would be another tank with a gun that's two to one modifications lower than your Isida.

- Keep out of reach as long as you can, let the enemy come for you.

- Use the camera controls to know where the enemy is coming from.

- Always attack the people who are not drugging, they'll give you the most health.

- When you have only one flag remaining for victory, and its hard to get. Never EVER be afraid to drug for it, You're an Isida, you are a vampire, you are the only tank in the team that can eat through the entire enemy team and run out with full health.

- Those drug addicts in your team need you! They are nothing without you! So get your tanks up there and heal them!

- Isida is good on almost any hull, depending on gameplay. An Isida-Mammoth M3 combo will be almost unstoppable with drugs. I recommend Hornet, Wasp, Hunter, or Dictator if you tend to not use drugs and steal flags. If you're a heavy drug user, choose Mammoth, Titan, or Viking for a hull. - Some tips and tricks by koolwalky.

Isida against other weapons:

Smoky - Get close to the Smoky. Chances are if he is in a light hull, you can kill him easily due to Smoky's low DPS. If he is in a Mammoth or Titan, you can do about 3/4 damage if your Isida is the same level as the enemy. You can just circle around and wait, for Smoky will take forever to kill you with your self-heal and low damage, unless he somehow gets lucky with a critical hit.

Firebird - This weapon is similar to Freeze, but it does not Freeze you. Just rush the Firebird if it is close by and there are not a lot of enemies. However, they leave nasty afterburns, so watch out for that! The most simple tactic against a Firebird is to spin around him. Another way is to camp on a ramp or underneath the Firebird and then leech his HP when he gets close to the edge.

Twins - An experienced Twins user is dangerous. Because of the knockback, you are recommended to hide from Twins, for if you charge him, you will most certainly die.

Railgun - Railguns pack high damage in one punch. The best thing to do is to feint the Railgun, which requires timing and skill. Once he has shot, and he is the only one there, get closer to him and kill him.

Isida - If you are fighting an identical Isida, try to attack 0.5-1 second after he attacks, because he will damage you, but you will get your HP back. However, you should also circle around the enemy, because it appears more and more people don't know how to turn their turrets. (Seriously, I've seen a Generalissimo not be able to turn his turret or self-destruct, and he was upside down for ten minutes screaming help.)

Thunder - These Thunders can kill you in a few hits. Try to avoid the Thunder if you can. You cannot feint Thunders nor can you charge them head on.

Freeze - Most annoying, pointless weapon there is. An intelligent Freeze will try to stick you in place and then kill you. But if the enemy Freeze is far away, let him charge you, and once he is about to Freeze you and pull back, surge forward and kill him. You will be still frozen for 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 hours afterward though.

Ricochet - Easy to kill at close range. Because it has a low DPS, fire rate, and slow bullets, try to move back and forth until he is low on ammo. His bullets will be easy to dodge at >50 meters. Then, once his supply of bullets is exhausted, charge him and get your HP back!

Shaft - Stay out of its line of sight. Try going to one side and then another, and go where he is not. Very easy weapon to kill as long as you don't charge it head on. It's crap now anyways.

Paints:

Against Isida:

t6Lf1TE.pngSafari - A cheap, beginner's paint against Isida. It offers 20% protection against only Isida, at only 3,000 crystals! It is one of the best paints for ranks Staff Sergeant to Second Lt.

L4ZdVLg.pngAilen - This paint is not worth buying. It only offers 4% more protection against Isida with a measly 5% against some other weapons, at 4x the price of Safari.

Fq6ajCy.pngElectra - This paint offers a good 30% protection against Isida, which also offers just a little bit of protection against Smoky and Twins. 30% against Isida is a good protection, and is effective from Second Lt. until Major General.

ukX4rTa.pngIrbis - Probably the most effective paint against Isida, offering 42%! It also offers 20% against Freeze, another close-range weapon! There also is 16% against Ricochet, which may come in handy a little bit.

tZmlbxo.pngRock - This paint's forte is mainly against Twins, but still has a 30% protection against Isida. Good if you hate Twins and Isida. It also has a 15% protection against Freeze, similar to Irbis, but this is an anti-Twins paint mainly.

For Isida:

To be updated, pictures for paints will come soon.

Feel free to share your tips, experiences, and more on this thread.

*Mostly an update of Koolwalky's guide, however, I have added some useful information.

Go away and stop trolling.

Men i was i silence this morning and we were losing i had rail, some isida guy stood behind me and healed me, next thing i chekec the leading board and he was first! he was wo2 or wo3 -_- so aslo ng as you got game plan your cool for a good win depends if none is drugging in that battle

- Be sure you use those nano-bots at all times, a good Isida player rarely lets his weapon to get fully charged. Just remember that in a head on fight between two Isidasthe best one will always be the one who can use every single second of his charge.

There are still 1vs1 isida battle, i just plant a mine and move back after 2 seconds, then kabbom they ar egone when they try to move back with me;)

Well its better to look at the tank's rank that gives you a clue of what his tank's at thats the point of rebalance and what level users can get upgrades :P

Freezers are noobs who can't play. They don't care if they kill you they just wanna slow you down so someone else can kill you, if you were good you would pick a weapon and kill them urself.

There's no need for that dude. Freeze is part of Tanki, so get used to it. It's possible they're just better than you are your jealous. If that's the case, go buy one for yourself :)
