Could you imagine..

On a more serious note. When I was young, we didn't have computers. We did have telephones, or you could stick your head out the window and shout at someone across the way.

I find that in a forum. One is not judged by appearance, mannerisms, disabilities, economic status, race, religion, sexual identity, etc....As such, it is our choice, whether or not we share those aspects with other forum members. While in a convention, or public gathering of any kind, those choices are obviously limited.

When we see a horse, or dog that is shy; we know that animal has been mistreated, or neglected in some way. However, humans find it difficult accepting their own shyness. Perhaps for the most part, because human shyness has been misconstrued as a flaw; when actually, it is not. Those who take pride in bullying, or abusing animals, or humans unfortunately live amoungst us.

I too, understand growing up with shyness. The reasons for that are not important to myself now. What is important, is that "you will overcome!" as I did. There is not one person on earth, who isn't a work in progress. If we were all born perfect, we would never learn anything. And some of us have learned a great deal.

As a matter of fact, many of the worlds most intuitive inventors, scientists, engineers, thinker/problem solvers, writters, civil rights workers, etc., have all been very shy, and/or reclusive (individuals) at one point, or another during the course of their lifetime.

For those younger forum members who might not realize the juxtaposition of these words. Just remember. "In the stability of your humanistic accomplisments, especially in those works you do for others. You will overcome great adversity." After all...We are "Tankiee's" from every corner of the globe, and all walks of life! - Here our roar! "GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" Come on. You can do it! "GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" - Louder! "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" That's it! "Good Day...And Good Luck!"

Thanks monkeyburn. My cousin is very shy. We didn't know why until a few months ago, when he got caught skipping school a lot, because of bullying. He's the smallest kid in his grade...I will pass the word on to him...He kept it (the bullying) to himself all those years, and "locks up" when he's around a lot of people...My uncle says, it's because he got left out of a lot of things that other kids who are popular, because they "fit the bill", get to participate in...It's a good thing we found out now, or it might turn into a bigger problem later...I copyed and emailed your inspirational words to him...Thanks again.

Your Welcome...From what you have told me, I know he will find his way...It sounds as though you and your uncle are very supportive. And that's the key...Thanks for taking the time to write!

NOTE: To all who might be offended by my (teacher correction) "parody". Bear in mind that it is just that. A "parody", and not directed at the individual...No offense intended.

"In the stability of your humanistic accomplisments, especially in those works you do for others. You will overcome great adversity."

I get the "stability in humanistic accomplishment" thing. Bullies and abusive people are not only spoiled by always having their way with people they consider "less" than themselves, but because of that; they will never achieve those humanistic accomplishments (helping others, the world, etc.), unless they choose to do so. And that's where the real "meat and potatoes" are later on in life..."Nobody can take those acievments away from you, and the friendships you gain!"

I'll have a get together for American tanki players! Is 7 acres of farmland good enough? We can have a bonfire. :P Yeah.... I'm not really gonna do that, although it would be fun. :)
