Railgun nerfed!

its a fine weapon but it does not work as the specs say :( I don't want to take down m0 mammy in one shot but 119 as the hornet m1 has vs so called 140 hp of rail 2 and nothing still needs 2 shots to die, is ridiculous ! just to be on the clear side i'm not talking pre rebalance I don't care if it had 300 hp then these specs that i'm talking about are now in the game but don't function properlyhornetg.jpg

You are right, more than 90% of the times I shoot an hornet m1 it's not a one-shot kill (I have rail m2, so if you look at the stats it must be possible in one shot, more than often)

Railgunning is still all about fire-and-movement and setting up the second shot.

Most Vikings were 2-shot kills with an M3 pre-rebalance, and pre-rebalance it was 75% Vikings with Rico/Thunder.

Its still 2-shot kills on 75% of tanks, I'd say.

The RB added to the entertainment value - low rank players using Shaft badly as cannon fodder and increased risk/danger from high-ranks with Smokey.

Railgun hasn't been touched. The damage is halved for every tank (friendly, enemy or dead) that it passes through.

Not any more! That's what I have been talking about the whole time! -_-

well as my option nerfdness is okey as some light passing through one object like a bullet is obious like to give less imfact to the person standing next to it

i have a rather different concern on railgun which i like to share since i found many railgun lovers here n want a know are they also experiencing same problem

HERE IS THE PROBLEM

i have a hornet m2(138 hp) + 10% protection of paint againt railgun, now a m3(112-166) railgun hits in face direct i mean seriously no gap between our tanks face to face but i still escapes it by few hp left even thought if m2 railgun also hits i still has same hp left as it was with m3 railgun

and technically - 166 m3 rail has power so it means deducting protection of paint 10per - it means 149 so more than 138 it means I WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD BUT I AM NOT

 

yes i understand that railgun has not set amount but as per when pointing railgun and hitting other tank on sides or while they moving fast the amount varies

but i am saying it face to face in any angle n that too without any gap in between u hit hornet having less hp than any railgun it wont destory as in my case mentioned above either u hit my hornet by either m2 or m3 railgun still same or light hp gets left tested it many times approx 12-15 times

posted a complaint http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=172726 regarding it but not getting satisfactory solution

Does anyone know either its technical fault or i am the only one seeing it as a fault even its not?

guys railgun M2 (92-140), yea can't kill hornet M1 without protection paints all the time, because the spec says 92-140 so the hit power varies in between this range.

So it can hit the max of 140 ( only then you can destroy M1 hornet ) and possibly lets say its like a cirt shot to reach the max of 140. so yea if you hit M1 hornet u wil possibly leave him with 5-15 HP usually! but still railgun is the best , the coolest and plus it really fun to play with. (though i have started to appreciate smoky as well :D :D )

so chill out and have fun, and if you can't hit an M1 hornet with one shot (m2 rail) , the solution is easy, snipe him again :P or just use drugs next time :P

 

and please dev's don't touch railgun keep it the way it is. but if you want to increase its power then u are most welcomed to do so , otherwise please no :P

Railers always use light hulls, they never saw how effective railgun is with a big hull.

If you camp, your D/L ratio will be over 9000, and you'll be in the top charts within notime.

 

I don't get why people still use rail on light hulls; as that's only effective if you mastered hit and run tactics.

On the other hand; 98% of the people I see who use a rail with a light hull; are total douchebag in aiming and timing.

+1 true, light hull = speed, so since rail is a sniping weapon, u totally need speed. but ill will try rail with mammy as u say and see what happens though i doubt the result since its rail needs fast hull.

The masters of railgun are quite effective and can support team in just about every map, but they need support from their team as well to keep freeze and firebird away from them. I love killing M0-M3 rails with my torch and hornet combo :lol:

When they lowered the damage you said it is weak and ruined.

When they increased the damage,you said it is overpowered :o

Appreciate what you have now.Just enjoy the game.
