Attacking team \mates?!?!?!?

How is it that some players seem to be able to attck their own teammates? This last one I was in I could not hit my own teammates in retaliation but there was 2 that seemed to be able to attack their own teammates at will. One flamer especially was down right annoying as he would sit on top torching players as they rematerialized and nothing I could do to stop him as my own weapon was useless against him but he'd be blowing me up alot unless I materialized away from him!

That's friendly fire mode... team mates can damage eachother.

Don't enter those battles.

So why then was my direct hits on tnem pointless? I mean I am point blank in front of them with a railgun and it does zero damage. That's what was so frustrating as I could not even hit back.

That's probably a bug, friendly fire mode affects all the players on the team.

So you should also be able to damage your own team mates if you want to.

 

I think you need to refresh the page if it happens again.

Maybe cause was so annoying this one guy I mean it wasn't a flag game just deathmatch so it was pointless for him to keep killing me as he got no points and in the end we ended up losing as was just a small game so with him killing us it was sort of like 4 on 2 with him killing us GRRRRR Thanks for the screen shot at least I know what that means now and will stay clear of those styles!

One more question for you what is this weapon that seems to kill in one shot? Sort of looks like a flame coming at you. I know I have a level 1 rail gun and typically takes me 2 shots to kill but this flame gun kills me in like one shot. I guess could just be my hull but is that most likely the SHAFT gun going that?

 

By the way it isn't the flamer gun that much I know it's a long range weapon like the railgun!

Some weapons such as railgun, are not normally able to hit teammates.

Most of the time, when you aim for team mates, you shoot over them... quickly move forward than back again to get your barrel lower.

Especially thunder is really annoying in friendly fire; since they can shoot ground or walls nearby you.

Depends on the weapon...

 

- Firebird and Freeze can damage team mates no problem, as far as I'm aware.

- With Thunder, you can't directly hit team mates unless either you or the target is on a slope (or if you're lucky with the moving forwards then backwards thing), though you can easily damage them using the splash damage, as you said.

- Railgun can hit team mates on slopes, or when moving backwards and forwards.

- Isida can't damage team mates whatsoever - you only end up healing them!

- Ricochet and Twins can also damage team mates pretty easily.

- Don't know about Smokey or Shaft, though :)

the firebird and freeze thing is moust likely a bug in the game wich must be sorted out they can damage sometimes team mates even if the friendly fire option is off

You need to do something I like to call the bounce technique.

When you move backwards and forwards and stop, your tank slopes a bit forward or backward, during this time, this is when the turret should go off as you shoot your turret at a slight angle either into the ground or into the air.

For attacking other teammates, this only really applies to smoky, thunder and railguns.

You need to shoot your railgun from a certain angle, though with firebird and freeze, it's easy

You need to hit near the tires.

I tried many times to hit my mates and then suddenly i got this method.:>
