New Server Platform.

This isn't so much of a 'complaint' as it is confusion and I didn't know where else to ask this sort of question.

 

When the new sever platform topic came out.. >> HERE

 

It stated that the servers would handle 5000 players each, but when I log into the game they are maxed out at roughly 3000?

 

Servers will be able to handle about 5000 players, not like now - only 2000-3000

 

Did the New sever platform project get binned, or what?

Reason why I posted here is because I wanted a straight answer from the Tanki Staff.

Devs are working on various upgrades. They still need to find the perfect way to handle 5K players on every server, give them time, this is not an easy thing to code.

I understand completely, I'm doing an apprenticeship in software development (we do coding and stuff), trust me, I know. I just thought it would've all came out at the same update. Thank you for your help anyway. :)
