As some of you no doubt know, there was a contest held recently. The winners would receive Reporter status. I, on behalf of Conan, and all the team, welcome Selena12121, GoldRock, jokjinari, Valletta, and SwagBoy11 to the reporter crew! In this little article, I will do short interviews with each new reporter, so you can get to know them better, if you don't know them already.

Jokjinari

Ranger7: Hello,

How long have you played Tanki Online?

Jokjinari: I joined Tanki Online in the spring of 2012 and have been playing actively ever since, even if I don't rank up that often. So around a year I guess.

R: How did you find out about Tanki?

J: Well, about a year ago, one of my good friends became obsessed with anything that had to do with tanks. He searched the internet and found Tanki. He happened to be playing one day while I was over at his house and he encouraged me to sign up. I did, albeit reluctantly because I thought that Tanki was a bit dumb, but now I'm glad I did, because I really enjoy playing during my leisure time.

R: Do you have a clan?

J: I actually am not in a clan at the moment. None of them seem to suit me. I plan on creating my own clan sometime in the near future; the only thing I lack are members.

R: If you could pick one reporter as a mentor, who would it be?

J: I would probably have to say loktinho. I am a fan of his articles and I know him the best out of all the reporters; I'm in his team (Legion of Killers) and he's an outstanding leader. I also knew him a little bit before he became a reporter and when he did, that was one of the things that inspired me to apply.

R: Being the new reporters, can you give us a little sneak-peek as to the articles you may write in the coming issues?

J: I wouldn't want to give too much away, but this is all I can tell you: Get ready to be surprised! I have ideas for some interesting stories, with maybe a guide or two thrown in.

R: Thanks for your time.

GoldRock

Ranger7: Hello,

How long have you played Tanki Online?

GoldRock: I joined Tanki nearly two years ago, back in the summer of 2011 when Shaft was introduced. I've been playing on and off for that time - I must have tried to quit about 2 or 3 times previously due to massive amounts of school work. However, each time after a few weeks (and once my school work amount had died down) I ended up typing a 't' into my address bar, and naturally, Tanki popped up straight away. It was my destiny, it seemed; I was forced to return :D I'm not planning to take a break from Tanki any time soon now.

R: How did you find out about Tanki?

G: I found out about Tanki one holiday, in which I was surfing the internet. I was extremely bored, so I looked up MMO games, and stumbled across an article on a review website about Tanki Online. It looked good, I thought, though allegedly it only had 4 maps available (I later found this to be untrue, luckily - it seems the reviewer wasn't a high enough rank to play all the maps), and so I clicked the provided link - I'm glad I did.

R: Do you have a clan?

G: Yes, I recently joined TDW (TheDangerousWhites), led by williew and Zero-nl. It's well organised with weekly trainings, and I'm glad that the newer members aren't ignored. I'm planning to stay in the clan for a long time, hopefully.

R: If you could pick one reporter as a mentor, who would it be?

G: Well, I'd have to say loktinho. He's the leader of my team (LOK), and he's a really supportive leader - I wouldn't want to be in any other team. I've read his articles, and they're great. Basically, he'd be the ideal mentor for any new reporter in my opinion; he's always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it.

R: Being one of the reporters, can you give us a little sneak-peek as to the articles you may write in the coming issues?

G: Hmm... My articles? Wait and see, but I'll be covering a wide spectrum of genres, ranging from controversial updates to humorous fiction.

R: Thanks for your time.

SwagBoy11

Ranger7: Hello,

How long have you played Tanki Online?

SwagBoy11: I joined on August 20th last year. However, I joined the English forums six days later.

R: How did you find out about Tanki?

S: Last summer I was searching around on miniclip for a multiplayer 3D war game. I found Tanki and instantly loved it, on the first day I ranked up a few times after playing non-stop for a couple of hours. Needless to say, my love for the game never left and although I don't play as much nowadays, I still enjoy being a part of the English community and participating in battles.

R: Do you have a clan?

S: Yes.
I haven't created one, however, a few months ago I joined Behemoth. I've recently become their designer and love battling, chatting and getting to know the members.
I'm also in a Team with a couple of other reporters, Legion of Killers.

R: If you could pick one reporter as a mentor, who would it be?

S: All of the reporters are very talented, so that's a very hard decision. A few of them are very close friends of mine, one of them, loktinho, is even in my clan. But I'd have to say Ranger7. Every single article he releases is well written, his writing skills are very advanced and precise. I enjoy reading all of his articles and hope there are many more to come.

R: Being one of the new reporters, can you give us a little sneak-peek as to the articles you may write in the coming issues?

S: My main responsibility will be designing, along with FOG-LIGHT. So you should be seeing a lot of my designs on various articles. However, I will be writing some articles as well. I hope to write some guides, stories and various other types of articles.

R: Thanks for your time.

Valletta

Ranger7: Hello,

How long have you played Tanki Online?

Valletta: I cannot tell for sure, since I wasn't bright enough to keep a log, but I started playing the game in the late summer of 2010. I joined the forum when I was about the rank of WO4 and I started participating actively in all of Tanki's events shortly after the implementation of Shaft.

R: How did you find out about Tanki?

V: I found out about Tanki Online while browsing the net, searching for an
online war game. I had a lot of previous experience with games about warplanes and warships, so TO sounded like a thrill to me.

R: Do you have a clan?

V: Yes, I managed to get in the lines of clan Behemoth [bEE] as soon as two months ago. I enjoy the atmosphere of the clan since many of my friends are there and we get to have fun and rely on each other more. I am currently also a co-leader of the Bulgarian Warriors team (BGW), where I have another deal of my pals.

R: If you could pick one reporter as a mentor, who would it be?

V: I don't think it would be really fair to classify a specific member of the reporter team above the others, so I would just go for a big
congratulations to all of the conscientious forumers who decided to contribute to the newspaper!

R: Being one of the new reporters, can you give us a little sneak-peek as to the articles you may write in the coming issues?

V: I feel like I am spoiling some original content, but I will let you know that I am currently working on a new Tanki Online franchise, which is inspired by certain unnamed TV-series. Stay tuned!

R: Thanks for your time.

Selena12121

Ranger7: Hello,

How Long have you played Tanki Online?

Selena12121: Hello there.

I've been playing Tanki since December 2011, however up until now I've stopped at very uneven rates (I may have been inactive for periods ranging from three weeks to two months). My best days were around Warrant Officer, about when I made my 'WO2s Look Here' topic :D (yes the one which will never die). I play a little less now, hence the rank.

R: Do you have a clan?

S: I do not currently have a clan or team, and don't intend on joining one. I, as many others do, enjoy watching clan wars/tournaments being streamed, but find the whole process of it as something that doesn't suit me. I find that, especially after recent events, clans cause unnecessary quarrels and tension between players. However, after being invited to a clan for a short time, the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, no one was left out (even if you had joined that very day).

R: If you could pick one reporter as a mentor, who would it be?

S: Ah... After a lot of thought, I'd have to choose (out of the current reporters) hogree. Why? Well, I enjoy reading his stories/articles each issue; fiction is especially relevant as most of my work will be stories and not directly to do with Tanki. I also admire the variety in his articles, there is never a set pattern, which is quite effective in my opinion. I believe he'd make the perfect mentor with a cheerful personality and brilliant writing skills.

R: Being one of the new reporters, can you give us a little sneak-peek as to the articles you may write in the coming issues?

S: Sneak peeks, eh? Well, you'll simply have to wait and see. As mentioned above, I'll be doing more fiction than not, hopefully with some of your favourite reads. What do I mean by that? Now, that's for you to interpret.

R: Thanks for your time.

S: No problem,

Sel

Conclusion

Well, there you have it. Our new reporters have been chosen! I hope many of you will enjoy their work for many issues to come. Let's just hope that Selena doesn't give us too much trouble with our grammar!

Well that I hope she does. I've been going through the past editions and although they have been great reading moments, the poor quality of the english wasn't something that won my heart. Plus I also believe that we ought to be an example to the many younger ones here. So selena please be a dear and beat the crap out of them if they make any vocabulary / grammatical mistakes etc..

I'm bad enough am I? Well what have I said to you?

You've not said much at all to me in particular, since I don't usually have errors in my grammar/spelling (except on Skype, but that doesn't count!). I was just commenting on your notoriously ruthless proofreading skills, that's all ;) (I hope you realise that I wasn't being serious when I said that).
