Update 138 — Team kick by vote

In update 138 we bring you the ability to kick a player from a team by voting.

Any skilled tankman faced a problem of sabotage in team battles. Players who spend hours not moving, collecting crystals and preventing others from bringing the flag home — we've all seen that. And it is not only about sabotage. Rule breaker can just use foul language in chat, so we've decided that a team should be able to kick the offender from a battle using general vote.

We've analyzed all the fears and developed a mechanism that minimizes the possibility of kicking the innocent and will be useful for fair players. At first, these features will be adjusted, so the battles in which the vote took place will be just highlighted for moderators.

Now a bit more about the function itself. First of all, you can't be kicked from battle if you are in the first place. It is most likely that the automatic team kick will not be used in battles for small number of players. It will be done by moderators. "/vote violator's nickname" command will be automatically switched off in battles, where the vote is used for this purpose.

The vote interface can be found in the battle statistics table which is displayed when you press Tab. In "Kick" column you can see the following indicators: white color means that you can start or support a vote against the player, the number displayed next to the indicator shows the progress of the voting.

You can start voting against the player if he or she is below you in the battle statistics table, otherwise you can only support the voting commenced by other players. It is important to remember that a player can't be kicked from a battle, if he or she has recently entered it or has spent a considerable amount of time in it.

If someone on your team has already started voting, you can join it, but only after all the players who are above you in the battle statistics. Once they make a decision, you get the right to vote as well. Voting doesn't last forever, so everyone should make a decision before the time runs out.

You can loose the ability to take part in voting if you were often kicked from battles by your team or if you are banned in chat at the time of voting.

In this topic you can share your opinions and impressions regarding the innovation.

More details on how to start voting.

In order to see if you can vote or not, press Tab to open battle statistics.

An indicator in the column can have four states:

- No indicator — you can't vote against this player

- White indicator without a number — You can start voting against this player

- White indicator with a number — The voting against this player was has been started by other player. You can support the voting

- Gray indicator with a number — you have already voted against this player

You need to click on this indicator next to the name of the player you want to vote against.

You can begin voting against a player if:

- This player is below you in the battle statistics table

- This player has been in the battle for some time but not for too long (this is set by developers)

- You have entered the battle before this player

- You are not disconnected from the chat for violations of the rules of the game

If someone on your team has already begun the voting, you can join them but only when all the players who are higher than you in the battle statistics has also voted.

You have more chances to begin and support the voting if you have never been kicked from battles with team kick.

Please note: everyone should vote within a certain period of time, or the voting will be stopped and everyone will have to start voting again.

Anticipating your concerns, there are two important things to note:

- You can't be kicked from a battle if you are in the first place or you have spent more time in the battle than other players

- Automatic kick of players from small battles (2х2, 3х3, 4х4) is not planned. These battles will be highlighted for moderators.

it is good option for team but if you do this for clans it will be better ;) !

I think you didn't get the point of the update...

It's for kicking mults from battles, not kicking them from a Team, or a Clan..you don't need a special system for this.

I can see the point of the upgrade and agree something needed to be done to deter the game spoilers, unfortunately you've just provided another method for a player to disrupt a game. I've just played the first game since this latest update, all was going well and we were winning, no reason to kick anyone. Then it started, someone systematically voted one after the other player out of the game. I ended up the highest scorer in a game where we got soundly thrashed! Hopefully it was just a peeps working out how to use the facility and they will not indulge in casting votes simply for the sake of it and to the detriment of the game. Keep up the good work with the upgrades etc.

"It is important to remember that a player can't be kicked from a battle, if he or she has recently entered it or has spent a considerable amount of time in it."

Not even with voting? If the player is playing from the start for sabotage?

And I have seen a player where "friendly shooting" was enabled. Flag carrier passes in front of his teammate who uses shaft, and just in front of the flag, shaft destroys him and takes the flag and captures it. That brings more point to shaft than flag carrier.

Any plans to punish such players?
