There has always been a Chinese version of Tanki. But I don't believe it's a copy of any kind. Just a Chinese version for all who speak Chinese, and especially since there's no section for those from that part of the world.

They do an IP check to see if you are in China. This is done to ensure that people who play are chinese. Even if you are chinese but not from China, you will not be able to access the game unless an alternate IP is used. It is official. But, changes aren't made as to the current ones we've had at the moment, but they are going in the same direction. Other items and operations are the same, and they have similar structures as to ours.

Apparently some people can play elsewhere o_o Not sure how it works...but try :)
