This time for Ask the Community, I decided to do a non Tanki topic, namely, 'What is your favourite three course meal and why?'

@hogree
Great question Hamster, and you picked the right guy to ask. Food is my thing. ^_^ I'm gonna struggle on this, so I decided to sort it out simply. Starters first, so I dont have my mouth watering all the way through... oh wait, its still gonna.. anyway... Now, Im not that big a eater, neither do I eat many starters. But off my head, I can easily think of a lot of nice ones. To start off a meal, I generally would go for a simple assorted selection of Chinese Fried Foods, spring rolls and the rest of em, and maybe a dumpling or two - perfect case scenario. Possibly even a dish of noodles. However, I'm big on juices as well, so I'd take a drink of.. lets say Tropical Juice to go with that. So some Chinese snacks (spring rolls, dumplings, noodles even?) with a standard mug of Freshly-squeezed Tropical Juice.. mmmmmm

But onto the main meal, now we're starting to talk. I'll just give three options of my favourites. First off is simple, a lovely lasagne is very hard to beat. But it is more than equalled by one of my faves, a top-quality burger with potato wedges. Perfect spices.. oh my, im hungry already. Finally, a Chinese main, definitely. Love my Chinese food.. preferablly something spicy, maybe some duck thrown in, stir fry veg, oh you dont know what your missing if you've never had a proper chinese, authentic chinese by the chinese. Top three: Lasagne, Burger, Chinese

Dessert takes some serious thinking, but I decided to run with pavlova, my all time favourite. Peaches, Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries on the top, and you have some awsum pavlova... Oh mah!! its sooo good. Closely behind is cherry pie and ice cream/yoghurt (adore it) along with any gateuax...

And there closes my pointless raving about epic foods!

I suppose this can be some kind of creme soup for starter. Warms you up when it's cold (note: it's often cold in Russia =) ) Some frankfurters with mashed potatoes for main course. It's quite simple to prepare (I cook myself). As for dessert, usually it is something sweet, like icecream or fruit.

@jokjinari
I have been waiting a long for somebody to ask me this; I absolutely looove food. Let's see...For a starter I would probably eat Ceasar Salad to outweigh the unhealthiness of the rest of the meal (My mom is always getting on my case about eating the right things and I can't be disobeying now, can I?). This is a hard decision to make, but for the main dish I would probably have to choose a good piece of steak, cooked medium (my mouth is already watering) and steak fries to go along with it--yummy! As for desert: Apple Pie A La Mode would be a perfect end to a perfect meal :)

@JamesM10
This isn't a simple question for me, as I enjoy lots of different foods. To make things easier, I will tell you about the best three course meal I have got from a restaurant.
For starters, chicken wings with hot peri-peri sauce, I don’t eat hot, spicy foods on a regular basis as they literally make my mouth burn to pieces. However, on occasion I really do enjoy the taste, I just have to make sure there’s a drink within arm’s reach!
Now for the main course! In my opinion, there’s nothing that beats a good bit of steak. I enjoy nearly every, if not all meats and fish, beef or lamb being my favourite. I have my steaks medium-rare as I like the middle to be pink. To go with a good steak, I like some Mango Chutney, chips, peas and a few potatoes if I can.
Finally, we come to the best bit of a 3 course meal, the dessert! A foot long Knickerbocker glory filled with strawberry, vanilla and toffee ice cream, covered with strawberry and chocolate syrup and some different fruits to top it all off.
A mixture of hot and spicy chicken wings, tough meat and creamy ice cream. Now that was the best three course meal I’ve had in a long time!

@Mandra
For starter, I like it simple, a nice piece of Honey Dew Melon, left in the skin, sliced and diced.
For main, has to be a good Sunday Roast Chicken, The Chicken has to be cooked upsidedown initially to keep breast moist, and turned upright for last 20 min to crisp skin. Then there are the roasties (Roast Potatoes), they need to have a nice crispy skin but you have to be careful not to over cook as skin will become too tough, and nice and fulffy in the middle. Then there is the veg. I prefere Carrot mashed with Turnip, and little Coliflower. Finally the most important part is the gravy, this MUST be made with Bisto and the chicken juices, if Bisto is not used then the whole meal will be a letdown. As I always say a lot of things can be forgiven but dont mess with my gravy!
After all that food its best to go for a light Dessert, so I go for Pavlova with Cream and finish it all off with a fresh cup of strong Coffee. (None of the instant rubbish please!)

Lets see, hard thing to ask. I enjoy almost everything. For starters, I would have to go for the garlic bread, toasted to perfection and sprinkled with oil and minced garlic. The main dish is the most difficult part. My thoughts first turn to something Italian, but I am not sure that would be my dream meal. I think I would have to go with an Asian entry. My final decision would pork lo mein. Pan fried Chinese noodles mixed with sautéed vegetables and and flame seared pork strips. One simply does not know how good it is until they try it. Now for dessert. Probably the easiest of all, as it is the best of all. After eating spicy garlic bread and hot noodles, one desires something cool. When I think cool, my mind goes to ice cream. With a million different flavors and varieties, ice cream is a dessert that can satisfy and person. As for flavor, I would go for the mint chocolate chip. Cool, refreshing, and tastes great. That would be my dream meal.

The first course meal I like most are Burritos with Nachos. The Burrito is really tasty and the meat in it is just perfectly combined with the hot sauce and the fried onion. Adding some salad in it is even better!
The Nachos are crunchy and tasty as well, it's really amazing flooding them with a hot cheese sauce and then adding some spices and different kind of meat.
(Here's a picture to make your mouth water!)

The second course meal I like most is Italian Pizza (I'm Italian, so I know what I'm speaking about ;) ). It's amazing to make it on your own since you can add as much tomatoes sauce as you want and also add different ingredients. The one I like most is Pizza with Ham & Onion, even if I really like the normal one, the Margherita.
The last course meal I like most is the Ice-Cream (as a dessert). You can eat it in any season and it's really tasty if done in a good manner. Nowadays you will find multiple types of ice-cream, but I still love only two kinds of them: Hazelnut and Cherry (not mixed, obviously ;) )

For Starter, battered brie. The soft unctuous melted cheese covered in a light batter with the mingling of salt and fat in the mouth is delicious.
It's difficult to select a main meal as there are so many to choose from, but a particular favourite is tagliatelle in a rich cream sauce which has been prepared with onion, garlic and mushrooms with a Quorn escalope, preferably also battered. Accompanied by a side salad consisting of fresh spinach, rocket and watercress with a light mustard dressing Again, this is a rich, satisfying dish which is full of flavour.
For desert, a not too sweet lemon tart with a dollop of double cream. The sharpness and sweetness combined would end what would be a fantastic meal perfectly. The only other things I would like to add to this meal are real English ale and good company.

@CooperO
For Starter: salad with mozzarella, pesto, tomato and lattice. It's fresh, light and great to start your appetite.
For Main: curry rice with ham, baked onions and paprika. Recipe from my grandmother. I love rice even without anything through it, this just gives some taste to it.
For Dessert: yoghurt, nothing else. I eat it twice a day pretty much every day and I can still thoroughly enjoy it. (But it has to be from the brand Campina).

@loktinho
Food...well, I'm really not that picky of a person in terms of appetite, but I do have simple preferences. For an appetizer, I prefer a simple caesar salad with a cream soup served with garlic bread. For a main course, I would have to say Speghetti Bolognaise. It's probably the dish that I've eated most in my life, probably because of my liking towards the unique sauce. I've been to several continents finding and tasting different versions like it, and all of them appeal to me as tasty and appetizing. For dessert, I like having a simple Lindor Chocolate Bar, or just a cake. I prefer Blackforest Cakes, or Cheesecakes.
Those are what my choices are for a 3 course meal, but often there isn't a meal customization option (imagine the world with it...), and any one of those three choices would make my meal more than splendid.

For me, this is really tough, I love my food! Although, I think, after some thought, I'm going to have to go for Calamari (Fried Squid) with Lemon Mayonnaise to start. I just love the combo of the crunchy batter, the taste of the squid and that delicious Mayo! The main course was the hardest, with so many things to choose from, do I go something Italian, or a classic British dish? What about Asian food? After much deliberation, I've decided to go for my long time favourite dish, one that I could eat over and over again on a regular basis, and it's not necessarily the most classy, high end dish, but boy does it taste good! What dish is this you wonder? It's the classic Spaghetti Bolognese! So good, especially when your Grandma makes it! Having said that, almost nothing beats a good Bacon Sandwich, but its not exactly a main course! And finally for the dessert, the decision was hard too, there were a few desserts I like a lot, such as Lemon Cheesecake, Pavlova and Sticky Toffee Pudding, all amazing, especially when homemade. In the end, I've decided to go for... all of them. Yeah, I just couldn't decide! I also love Stroopwafels! So there you have it! What's your favourite meal? Let us know below!
