Micro-upgrades

What are your opinions on this update?

In progress:

  • Micro-upgrades (upgrades of weapons’ particular characteristics, before the next grade is available)

some theories/questions ive made on this is:

1. I think, there might be a limit to each gun modification m0-m3 by which you can upgrade a particular stat, for eg. you cannot upgrade an m0 to surpass an m1.

2. Micro-upgrading might cost more in total than just plain upgrading. that might be the catch.

3. Will m3 weapons be able to micro-upgrade beyond its stats or is the micro-upgrades for m0-m2?

4. Will this ever apply to hull modifications?

5. Will paints be able to be micro-upgraded?

6. Will micro-upgrades be more flexible? - eg. adjusting the fire-rate of thunder m2, then reverting it, will this be possible?

7. Will the cost to micro-upgrade be a flat rate? for eg. adding 10 dmg to any weapon costs the same.

8. is this a difficult upgrade to implement? if so how long do you think till we have it in-game.

i know this could be in QnA, but id rather get the opinion of experienced players, consultants, anyone helpful ofc.

1. of course. Its called micro upgrade not mega upgrade.

5. I'd say No to this. I memorize every paint because of their protection.

For example, since i either use firebird or isida i would avoid tanks with Alien and Swash since they have protection against isida for Alien and Swash and for Firebird, Swash

Wait, are Devs already making this? Or is this just a random idea you came up with Cheeky Tank?

My Opinion: No. Never. The only Micro-upgrade I would be in favor to would be in Animation of the firing from each gun such as Custom color with Railgun.

I think that micro upgrading will just be an option to slowly upgrade your gun to M3, maybe for a bit cheaper and at a slightly earlier rank. Anything more than this and it will be overpowered. For example, I have Railgun M2, and if I micro upgraded the turning speed, it would be the speed of Railgun m3. If I micro upgraded the shooting speed, it would shoot the same speed as Railgun M3, and if I micro upgraded the shooting power, it would shoot with the same strength as Railgun M3. Once I micro upgraded all of these features, I would have Railgun M3.

That's just my opinion on how it will be like.

1. Yes probably

2. Prices - unknown

3. Yes, till some point even M3s will be able to be upgraded

4. Microupgrades apply to guns and tanks, yes

5. No

6. Reverting it? Hm... In future, it will be possible to choose and play with any modification you want and have, for example, if you have Thunder M3, you will be able to play with M2, M1, or M0 too - you'll be able to choose. This way you can battle your friends that have lower modifications. But it's not sure if the same will be possible for microupgrades.

7. Prices - unknown

8. Yes it is.

If there aren't any unexpected problems, the microupgrades may come in 1 or 2 months.

Another refund would be really cool, but i will probably still find a way to mess up my account...

 I agree that another refund would be cool. I messed up my account too on the refund...I bought all these combo's m1 that I didn't need... <_<

No refund will be done, this is 100% sure and Devs confirmed that just some hours ago.

I'm glad, because I wouldn't want to risk making the wrong choice and ruining my account.

So... the devs are going to radically change the stats of each gun with these "microupgrades" and we don't get a chance to choose a different gun/hull through a refund? This doesn't seem quite fair. Are updates ever GOOD? These are the updates we need:

Improve Thunder and Rail

Increase battlefund more

Lessen the critical hit damage

These would actually improve the game for a change.

^Exactly, the Devs confirmed it after I said 'not sure'.

Nobody said they will radically change any stats. All they will do is give you the ability to upgrade different specs of your stuff, for example, the rotating speed of your Railgun M1, make it rotate faster.

But when you increase that rotation speed of an M1 rail, it shouldn't overcome the rotation speed of an M2 rail right?

I think, as they're called micro-upgrades, they won't cost all too much and won't increase all to much either.
