I can verify this. I'll let you into a secret, if you want to bribe FBI, use sandwiches, he can't resist.

I Think Devs need a break from their work and all of them should be online more often in the servers so that the comuunity gets a chance to interact with devs as they hardly be online other than photosessions ofc...DEVS you gotta play more to interact and know what community wants :)

That's true but Hazel-Rah is very good. I PMed him and he replied in about a day which is good. When you try to PM another developer they don't answer for ages or at all! Although, I know they're busy and they probably get loads of spam messages from people asking random questions so in the end, they dread to open their Pm's!

Last month, several new additions were made to the TankiOnline team of staff. The newspaper staff accepted five new reporters, the forum moderators gained another mod and the English Community welcomed our new Community Manager, Semyon Kirov. In this article, I will do a brief interview with Semyon, so you can get to know him a little better better, if you don't know him already.

Hello Semyon.

Hello.

Can you tell me a little about yourself?

Right now I work as a community manager in Tanki Online team. I have a degree in linguistics (English and French). That’s all I can think of :)

How did you find Tanki Online?

I live in Perm and lots of people know of Tanki here. It feels kind of nice that a game made in the city you were born in has become so popular. I’m really proud of it.

Also, my previous job was organizing language courses for companies in our city and I had a chance to work with Alternativa Platform, that’s when I realized I want to become a part of the team.

So that’s probably when I got into the game completely.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I’m fond of cycling, that’s my number 1 hobby I think. Other than that I play the guitar a lot. And of course videogames, that’s my passion.

What video games do you like to play, other than tanki?

I suppose I'm a fan of role-playing games. Things like first two Fallouts, Knights of the Old Republic, Newerwinter Nights, Dragon age, Mass Effect, and many many others.

What plans do you have for the future, inside of Tanki?

My plan is to work hard and further improve the English community. Right now we don’t have many things that Russian players have.

So the plan is to solve that, and create more unique content, designed specifically for English-speaking players.

What updates do you think should be added, that aren't planned?

The thing is that all the updates I'd like to add are already planned. Each update is discussed by all the developers together, decisions are made by the whole team.

What is your favorite combo in TankiOnline?

It’s Railgun+Hunter. Sometimes I also use Hornet, basically when I want something nimble to quickly attack and hind behind corners.

Do you have any goals you wish to achieve in TankiOnline? If so, what are they?

The goal is to help our players as much as I can. As I said before, things will get bigger and better and my task is to be a link between our players and developers 24/7.

What are you most excited for, in the future of TankiOnline?

We never stop developing the game, lots of new stuff is coming soon. Some things are already being done, others are planned but they will definitely see the light.

Right now it’s micro-upgrades. As for other stuff, just check the In Development page on the main page.

What part do you most enjoy about working for tanki?

Working with people, whether they are players or guys in the office. Helping people.

Any last words before we end?

I want to thank everyone who plays the game. It’s nice to see support when you open your PM or look through the forum.

The best thing is that there’s no one who is indifferent. Every topic is discussed, some people love it, others criticize it, which is also good.

So once more, thank you everyone for keeping the community alive and being here.

Thanks a lot for the interview.

See you on the battlefield and good luck to you all.
