Chinese Newborn Freed from Sewer Pipe

Saturday afternoon in the Zhejiang Province of China, a pregnant women who couldn't afford an abortion delivered the baby while in the toilet of her rented room. Although she was meant to catch the baby before he fell into the toilet, but he slipped and fell straight into the sewer line. She alerted the landlord (the one that rent her the room) in an attempt to try and get the baby out.

Firefighters were called when the landlord had failed to free the baby from the pipe. The baby was discovered to be stuck in the L joint of the sewage pipe just below a typical squat toilet. The baby was taken to the hospital while still stuck in the pipe with the pipe cut from the toilet. At the hospital, workers used saws and pliers to free the baby from the pipe. After numerous attempts, the baby was freed from the pipe without being harmed in the process.

The baby, weighing 6 pounds, had a low heart rate and suffered only minor abrasions on his head and limbs. At the hospital, they discovered that the Placenta, an organ that connects the fetus to the uterine wall for the baby to get nutrients and gas exchange inside the mother's body through blood supply, was still attached. Fortunately, the baby was mainly unharmed.

Local police is in the process of an investigation and criminal charges may or may not be held against the mother. The mother, who was reported to be with the baby the entire journey, said that she 'wanted to raise the child but had no idea on how to do it.'

Stanley Cup Playoffs

The 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs started April 30th and a month later, we're left with the teams going into the Conference Finals!

Representing the Eastern Conference, Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins play their conference finals, while Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks play theirs!

This year, a great surprise was that the Toronto Maple Leafs had made the playoffs. The Leafs had not made it to the playoffs since 2004, and this year, through acquiring younger players, they were able to slip into the playoffs ranked 5th in the conference. Their playoffs effort was remarkable, even though losing their tie breaker match to the Bruins in the first round, by a goal. They were leading by three goals.

There was great disappointment within the Leafs fans, even though the Leafs have proven to have tried their best. During overtime, both teams were tied and Boston scored the one goal to put them in the lead before the Leafs. Many Leafs fans considered the fact that the Toronto team had used too much energy in the beginning of the game, and were worn out when the third period came. By the time Overtime happened, the Bruins outplayed the tired Leafs.

Good article! If you play Tanki a lot, you don't really get to see what's going on in the world. You could have given a bit more information on things--for example: you didn't say what sport the Stanley Cup Playoffs are for? I have no idea. Other than that it was pretty good.
